Racialism is a term frequently used in white separatist literature, indicating a usage and concern with the relevance of race to various social issues. It is used in contrast to racism, because the claim is that separatists do not believe themselves superior to other races, or hate other races - they merely believe that race does matter.
Racialists often cite scientific works such as J. Philippe Rushton's book Race, Evolution and Behavior, IQ and the Wealth of Nations and The Bell Curve, Darwin and his contemporaries as well as others. This is sometimes referred to by opponents as "Scientific racism".
