Got7 (commonly stylised as GOT7) is a South Korean seven member hip-hop boy group formed by JYP Entertainment (JYP). It was first announced on December 24, 2013 that JYP Entertainment will be launching the debut of a 7-member boy group coined as 'the next 2PM' . It was revealed that both members of JJ Project are are also members of the new boy group which is named Got7. Got7 is JYPE's first hip hop group and they'll be a performance team specializing in 'martial arts tricking', which is a form of martial arts with acrobatics. Although acrobatics and the word 'performance team' may bring 2PM to mind, the agency mentions that Got7 will be showcasing different types of performances with kicks and turns derived from martial arts with a fusion of b-boying style. On January 1, JYP Entertainment unveiled the group to be named Got7 and that the music video and the boys' showcase 'Garage Showcase' will take place on January 15. Their first stage will be through M!Countdown on January 16th and they' drop they'll drop their first mini album on January 20th After that, members Mark and JB's first image teaser was released on January 2,
