==Bebe Buell, Geraldine Edwards and Pennie Trumbull were the inspirations for the Penny Lane Character in Almost Famous==

Cameron Crowe has stated on multiple occasions that Bebe Buell, Geraldine Edwards, and Pennie Trumbull were the models for Penny Lane in Almost Famous. He met Bebe Buell while he was touring with Todd Rundgren and writing an article on him, becoming friendly with her at that time. He met Pennie Trumbull in Portland, Oregon, where she was a well-known groupie. And he met Geraldine Edwards, who was a well-known groupie in San Diego, where both were living at the time. They were both sixteen years old at the time of their meeting, and often went backstage to concerts together, often to the San Diego Sports Arena, which is featured in Almost Famous. Most recently, Geraldine Edwards, who is now married and known as Geraldine Flemming-Mueller, requested that her name be redacted from all Misplaced Pages articles featuring it. A top senior Misplaced Pages administrator and editor assisted Geraldine Flemming-Mueller in this regard by redacting her name from the articles, as per her request, and by also additionally preparing a Bot to automatically remove her name if it's included in any articles. Geraldine Flemming-Mueller has publicly stated that she finds the Misplaced Pages articles created about celebrities and in particular musicians to be lacking in credibility and veracity, and does not wish to be a part of them. She also had the Misplaced Pages administrator and editor remove a Misplaced Pages biography that was prepared and posted about her that was riddled with inaccuracies, and that she found offensive.

Interview

What was the first interview for Rolling Stone magazine by Cameron Crowe deplicted in his Almost Famous film? (Volcano1776 21:31, 16 July 2006 (UTC))

Later career

Does anyone else feel there needs to be more on Vanilla Sky and Elizabethtown in this article? I know they weren't as warmly received as Jerry Maguire or Almost Famous, but it's strange they're shoved into a single sentence while Crowe's other movies receive full paragraphs.Gunslinger 19:51, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:JenniferJasonLeighRayWalstonFastTimes.jpg

Image:JenniferJasonLeighRayWalstonFastTimes.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Misplaced Pages article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hard rock bands?

the article suggests that he was able to interview 'hard rock bands' including the Eagles, King Crimson, Linda Ronstadt, Rory Gallagher, because other music journalists didn't like hard rock. the only listed band thats hard rock is led zepplin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.203.83.137 (talk) 16:40, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

The link for Nancy Wilson ... broken ...

the link for Nancy Wilson, Cameron Crowe's ex-wife, is broken. Instead of going to a Nancy Wilson link, it goes to a link for "dykes."
