Re Rainbow Trout GAN

Mongo, thanks - my goal is to get the big four--rainbow, cutthroat, brown and brook trout articles up to GA status then start pushing for FAC. --Mike Cline (talk) 11:13, 20 December 2013 (UTC)

I won't step on tour toes with those as I did a bit with the Fort Yellowstone article...but will mention that keeping momentum is a good thing...one might take another of the articles you mention to GAC but return to the last one promoted to GA while the story is still fresh for the FAC push. Rainbow Trout is in excellent shape already...it's close to FA now.--MONGO 14:35, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
Just requested Peer review on the Rainbow trout article. Am about ready with the Cutthroat trout article for a GA request. Hope you are having a good holiday. Thanks for all your support. --Mike Cline (talk) 15:00, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
I put the peer review on my watchlist.--MONGO 15:05, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

File an SPI

If you want to file an SPI on MilesMoney you are welcome to, but placing an accusatory template and category on his user page, and deleting his comments from another user's page is disruptive. Kindly stop it.- MrX 19:26, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

I can begin to see where you're coming from with the claim, but... I can't make a sockpuppet duck test judgement, I didn't know 24/7 that well. Looking back at his history isn't good enough.
Can you lay it out at an SPI or at least in better detail here?
Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 23:10, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
@MrX...you're right...but I thought the SPI was still open. The template however automagically adds the category to the page. Secondly, I can and will remove any harassment and trolling done by that user on Arthur's page.
@Georgewilliamherbert...a half dozen folks are working on the sock investigation offsite. The initial conclusion is that MilesMoney is StillStanding-247...who may also be a previous ban evader. If you want the details I can email them.--MONGO 23:55, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
Email away; will keep them confidential on-wiki etc, and if I am convinced I'm willing to act. But ya gotta convince me. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 01:25, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
See ARBCOM SevenOfDiamonds...I don't need checkuser to track. I'll be a day or three before it's ready--MONGO 02:11, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
If we were to pick this up after xmas, it would not be a tragedy, I think. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 05:23, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
About 4 accounts all edit from the same place it seems...the checkusers want behavioral evidence and that just takes longer to put together. Its not like they showed up to work on articles about butterflies or a mountain....they're all just POV pushers on political articles and related areas. They are what makes the website suck...I prefer dealing with teenage vandals frankly. Least the kids that edit Pokeman articles are earnest and sincere.--MONGO 05:39, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
I like the sound of this discussion. Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays whatever fits! Best,--NK (talk) 13:29, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
I'm generally an exclusionist, especially in BLP's so when I see any editor arguing incessantly for the inclusion of negative junk in our bios, edit warring for such things and fighting everyone that disagrees with them, then it's obvious to me that we are dealing with someone that is incapable of working collaboratively on article improvement. In a way, wasting time tying to pin down which ban evader they are isn't necessary since we have the diffs that clearly show they need to be told to play elsewhere.--MONGO 17:57, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

just parking above for no real reason...its rudimentary compared to what we can do now...

....yeah yeah right...those are the same lies the moron above said right before he was blocked....least SEVEN was smart enough to cover his tracks better but this fool is too stupid to know when to stop giving me multiple tells...

Stalking

This false ANI report is stalking.

  • It is redundant with a WP:3RRN report.
  • Both contain a direct lie: they claim I said I violated 3RR; I made no such statement.
  • I did not violate 3RR, but I did ask the page to be protected because of a flurry of reverts.

Do not lie about me. MilesMoney (talk) 18:53, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Nah, that's your thing, not mine. Besides, the false report was properly closed, so I'm dropping this. MilesMoney (talk) 00:11, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
I really think you should file a case with the arbitration committee. It's not like we'll be the only ones at the dance...we'll have lots of company and you'll have maximum attention. I don't see how you can resist since you've apparently been stalked and are surrounded by liars...it's the best way to put a stop to the pain.--MONGO 00:15, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll take that under advisement. MilesMoney (talk) 00:19, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Well, my advice may not be worth much, but since all these other editors are stalking you, and they're liars and they are interfereing with your ability to edit constructively, I think you need to put a stop to all the harassment you're having to put up with.--MONGO 00:29, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
I'll also take that under advisement. MilesMoney (talk) 00:33, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/MONGO 2...now all you have to do is make the redlink turn blue....you can consider it your first article start...here's a link to how to start a case.--MONGO 00:42, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

Possible opening statement for abrcom case...feel free to adapt or alter to suit your desires!

MONGO big bad meanie...he enterferrin with my afforts to edit constructionally...he stalking me and he is an liar two...somebloody pahweez help me get this big meanie off mah back!!!! I am an newby editer hear and I wants ot be a good Misplaced Pages editer but this Mongo mean person is makin me wanna up and quit. I shouldent haveta feel like I'm bein stalked on this webcite all the time having this persen going around and lying bout me all the time and all. He has said I should be banned and all I have done is edit constructionally and I aint had no arugments or nothin yet this mean person wants me bannned just cause hes mean. He's the menest man I ever met anywheres ever. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MONGO (talkcontribs)

Not taking that under advisement, as it crosses the line into personal attack. Bad Mongo. Redact yourself. MilesMoney (talk) 01:08, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
NO..I refuse..you better file an arbitration case...I was just trying to help you out is all, since you think filing cases is my "thing". You don't have to copy my opening statement verbatim of course...you may have your own ideas about all this harassment and stalking and lying you're being subjected to. An editor with your contributions history should be respected, admired and set as an example for others to follow....not kicked to the curb like some darn troll.--MONGO 01:13, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, troll. Interesting choice of words. MilesMoney (talk) 01:32, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Exactly! well not really exact since troll is but one word, so its not really words unless we add something like obnoxious or something in front of it. How about, "not kicked to the curb like some darn obnoxious troll"???--MONGO 01:42, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
SOCK PUPPETS ATTACK!!!!

Are those socks of trolls or trolls with socks? Inclusionists would likely think they are trolls with socks. --DHeyward (talk) 05:02, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

your request for translation

Hail oh MONGO. *I* understand rambleze. <looks proud> If you were talking about the Great Jumbo, that is to say. Maybe the journalism-of-the-future stuff? Link?

p.s. Actually, maybe you meant bishzilla when you said "his" ... not really sure zillas are gendered into just his-n-hers... and if so what exactly... uhhh nevermind. I don't translate roarrRRRRReze, so if that was who you meant to call monotonically-increasingly-incoherent, I stand aside. Can't watch....  ;-)   — 74.192.84.101 (talk) 20:28, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Mr Wales might mean well, but he's so distanced himself from the central issues that his proclamations don't make any sense. MONGO do best with short and to the point.--MONGO 14:36, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
MONGO, you got link to procklahmayshun? You give. I make short. With hatchet very pointy. Great Jumbo mean well always. Me know. Is called Soom Good Faith. p.s. What central issues? You mean like m:Special:CentralNotice or you mean deep thoughts like grand canyon? Danke. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 03:38, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
Hum...JUMBO not able to stand in shadow of MONGO...everybloody knows dat!!!!--MONGO 20:02, 4 January 2014 (UTC)

When animals edit articles on other animals can they be trusted to be neutral????

Well...this edit looks fine but it could be that a Sandhillcrane might not like Polar bears at all...we have to think like a Sandhill Crane to see what they were thinking when they made that edit...--MONGO 16:12, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

Congratulations!

I am delighted to present you with this WikiProject Barnstar in recognition of your extensive contributions to the Military history WikiProject, as evidenced by your being nominated for the 2013 "Military historian of the Year" award. We're grateful for your help and look forward to seeing more of your excellent work in the coming year. Ed  23:13, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Austrian economics opened

You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Austrian economics. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Austrian economics/Evidence. Please add your evidence by February 8, 2014, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Austrian economics/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration. For the Arbitration Committee, Ks0stm 01:49, 25 January 2014 (UTC)

Peer review of Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution

I heard somewhere that you were offering to help fastrack a peer review of an article that might be ready to make the transition from GA to FA. We put in for a peer review on 4th amendment a while back, but no word so far.

If you have the time and the interest, would you take a look at it? I mostly work on getting articles from non-existant to stubs, so I'm not up on FA criteria. Your help most appreciated. --HectorMoffet (talk) 10:42, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

I might be able to do some minor stuff if it goes to FAC.--MONGO 16:03, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
I've now submitted it to FAC. --HectorMoffet (talk) 13:05, 29 January 2014 (UTC)

A hand-typed thank you

Hi MONGO, thank you for your support for me on my RfB, but thank you more so for the kind words and trust you showed here. I'm glad that I never let you (or anyone else, it seems) down when you supported my second RfA and I hope to do the same as a bureaucrat. Thank you. :) Acalamari 10:00, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

"Vandalism"

Reverting an edit that is a textbook violation of WP:CITECONSENSUS is not "vandalism". Good day.—indopug (talk) 12:20, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

There is nothing textbook about it...he converted the page to templated cites, you reverted it, I reverted you then you reverted me for some stupid reason...looks like consensus is against you. Though not mandatory, the article has a much better chance of becoming featured if it uses a more organized citation style so I have no idea what your reverts could be except vandalism.--MONGO 14:22, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

Reknowned

Please read other peoples edit summaries, and stop re-introducing the same spelling mistake at Mount Hooker (Wyoming)

There is no such word as reknowned, and ssuming you mean "renowned", that is considered a "peacock" term, the use of which is deprecated in WP:PEA. - Arjayay (talk) 15:02, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Hey...thanks for bringing that to my attention...the guy is a renowned rock climber whether you like it or not and it doesn't need a cite saying just that as common sense and the article we have on the climber make it fucking obvious....just as the article on Hooker make it clear he was prominent...hugs and kisses.--MONGO 15:17, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
