Neowin.net is a technology news site mostly focused on Windows and PC-related topics. With the slogan, "Where unprofessional journalism looks better", the site covers the happenings of the technology world with three different sections:
- Main - focused on current events as pertaining to Microsoft, Intel, AMD, and other PC hardware and software manufacturers.
- Software - chronicles mostly Windows shareware and freeware releases.
- Gamers - news on both PC and console gaming, such as new releases and console hardware.
Neowin was started as a hobby in October 2000. One of Neowin's claims to fame is being the subject of the most viewedstory on slashdot ever.
Neowin Forums
Neowin also has an active technology forum consisting of over 60,000 members and over 2 million posts. The forums are also home to several artists who specialize in desktop wallpapers and visual styles for Windows XP. A variety of sub-forums allow specific questions to be answered by experts in the area of question. Neowin runs Invision Power Board .
