You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but you may want to consider creating an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (62.252.179.97) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome! DanielRigal (talk) 15:50, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
Your edits on Elaine Paige
Hi 62.252.179.97,
I see that you are keen to retain your edit to Elaine Paige but there are some very significant problems with it which mean it has to be removed. As you have never had a formal Welcome message you probably don't know about some of our policies so my reversion message might not have made much sense to you. The message I added above should help but please let me draw also your attention to a few specific points:
- The WP:POV policy prevents people from pushing a personal point of view. This is what you are doing. You claim that you are only stating facts but you are selecting a fact and putting it under a headline that reflects your opinion.
- We do not do Original Research, which is what you are doing. You are making up an issue yourself, not just reporting on one.
- Do not describe edits as "vandalism" unless it is clear that they are intended to damage Misplaced Pages. Edits can be unintentionally bad for many different reasons but they are only vandalism when they are intended to be non-constructive.
- Try not to get too attached to your own edits. Constantly reinstating bad content is not going to win you any friends. Try to understand why the edits were problematic and then see if you can reinstate them in a more acceptable way.
So, what, if anything, could save your edit?
If Elaine Paige has been notably criticised for wearing fur and this is reported by Reliable Sources then the content becomes valid once it is referenced to those reliable sources. I have had a quick Google for this and I have not found anything. The problem is you trying to go from a picture, which in itself is not critical content, to critical content that reflects your own opinion. I do understand the impulse to see fur and think "Urgh. Fur!" but that does not belong on Misplaced Pages unless the criticism is well documented.
Does that make sense now?
Please do not restore the content again unless you can address these issues.

March 2014
Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Elaine Paige. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. DanielRigal (talk) 19:04, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Misplaced Pages, as you did at Elaine Paige, you may be blocked from editing. OK. I tried to assume good faith and I tried to explain why your edit was wrong. I hoped you would listen but you didn't. You have been reverted by multiple people all for the same reasons. You need to stop now or you are going to get blocked. DanielRigal (talk) 12:17, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Your recent editing history at Elaine Page shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Nikkimaria (talk) 16:20, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Misplaced Pages's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Elaine Paige, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
