Reason for the change – developmental cognitive neuroscience, as is obvious by its name – is at the intersection of 3 fields. It is okay to include social neuroscience, but that was a later addition and is not part of the core concept. Moreover, if social neuroscience is added then affective (emotional) neuroscience should definitely be added as well. Importantly, no definition of developmental cognitive neuroscience was offered.
