Disambiguation link notification for December 2
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Michael, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Myers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Do not add unsourced content about living people
Hello, I'm TheRedPenOfDoom. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Michael Carter-Williams, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 19:51, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
Citations
Thanks for the source! I have added it to the article.
If you are not using the new visual editor, every editing box has a series of buttons above it. The one on the right is a CITE help button. When you click it another set of buttons opens up.
You can use the "News" for newspaper sites, "Book" for books.google.com and "Web" for other reliable web sources. Just copy the URL and paste it into the URL field and click the green arrows after it and it will automajically fill in a lot of the information. You can manually fill in anything important that the bot is not able to determine. Then put your cursor where you want the citation and click "add citation" and it will plug it into the article. (You can play and test in your sandbox (tab at the top of your page) to get comfortable and understand how it works).
Here are some help tips for citing sources.

Names of people who are not the subject of the article WP:BLP
The names are not relevant to understanding the subject of the article, and as non notable minors, we should not be spreading such personal information on the web without a really good reason to do so.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 22:58, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Act stefanie dolson.jpg
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on File:Act stefanie dolson.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.wnba.com/playerfile/stefanie_dolson/index.html?nav=page. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Misplaced Pages to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Nice work
Welcome to Misplaced Pages. I have been meaning to create an article about Stefanie Dolson, but hadn't gotten to it, so thanks for starting it.
I had a very limited sandbox User:Sphilbrick/Stefanie_Dolson which, as you can see, is nothing more than a small collection of relevant links.
It does have some information about her USA Basketball career. If you want to work on that, go ahead, otherwise, I'll add it.
I see you tried to add an image, but we cannot use copyrighted images, without a proper license. I'll add a new image in a few minutes.
What prompted you to start this article?--S Philbrick(Talk) 11:41, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response. The article had no references; I added one because bios without references can be deleted immediately. It needs more. References can be tricky for new editors. I'd be happy to help. If you identify the urls for your sources, I'll show you how to convert to good refs. --S Philbrick(Talk) 13:06, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Her FG % numbers are wrong. I haven't tracked down the problem and cannot now; I added it to my to-do if you do not get to it.--S Philbrick(Talk) 13:10, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
citing sources
Hello, see the WP:REFB for help on sourcing.
One of the issues was that there was a character missing coding: <ref ... instead of <ref>
And then once you have named a particular sources (<ref name ="Used Many Times"> author date publisher etc <ref> ) then when you want to use it again, you just need to use <ref name ="Used Many Times"/> (note the / closing it at the end)

This is your only warning; if you violate Misplaced Pages's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory content into an article or any other Misplaced Pages page again, as you did at Michael Carter-Williams, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
