dear sir, Iam from akkalkot taluka.I believe in only facts.If you see the past history of akkalkot and solapur(and south solapur),you will find that all that areas were kannada dominated.My grand mother does not speak marathi.Our grand parents spoke kannada only.Now,due to education in marathi medium the new generation knows marathi.I respect marathi language,but finally mother tongue matters.so,both marathi and kannada should be given importance.Do you know that solapur was called swannallagi in kannada?
