The March Massacre or March events is the name given to the mass killing of ethnic Azerbaijanis in late March - early April 1918 by Armenian and Bolshevik forces. According to various sources between 3,000 and 12,000 Muslims were killed in Baku alone.

In Shamakhy district, the number of victims reached 7,000 in April 1918. In the Guba district more then 3,000 Jews were murdered, the number of villages ruined comprised 122. Rovshan Mustafayev who is the director of the Human Rights Institute of the National Academy of Science, stated that about 3,000 Jews were also killed during the March Massacre in the Guba region . Israeli ambassador Arthur Lenk has stated that Israel will be involved in scrutinizing the developments of the investigation. Azerbaijan's Georgian Jews Community is also offering their help in restoring historical truth.
