Paddington is an upcoming comedy film about the fictional character Paddington Bear. The film is directed by Paul King and produced by David Heyman. It has a release date of 28 November 2014 in the U.K, and 25 December 2014 in North America.

Production
The film was first announced in 2007 with David Heyman producing and Hamish McColl writing the screenplay. No further development was made until 2013, when filming began and Heyman announced the casting of Colin Firth as Paddington. Principal photography and production began on September 13, 2013. In June 2014, Colin Firth voluntarily dropped out of voicing Paddington, after the studio decided his voice was not suitable for the character.
