Block of Akocsg

Requesting Zidane page protection

Hi there Favonian. The Zinedine Zidane article is repeatedly vandallized by ip users and new users, its tiresome having to constantly check it. The article was fine until the last protection ended. The article itself is busy and it's only going to get worse with the World Cup. Im requesting a more permanent protection (perhaps a Pending changes protection). Thanks. Favonian, I would like to take this moment and thank you for the trust you had placed in me and for your support in my RfA that happened a while ago. Jaguar XF

• That guy is me. The car is very clearly visible in the photograph, and the photograph has been on the page for some time. Please leave it alone once I return it to the page. • I am not "in trouble" for anything. Another picture of mine was erased by some IP user, and then someone else joined in. I have already taken care of the problem. Mikemikev sock

I agree that semi-protection is in order at this point. A range block would probably have to be done by a CU – too much SNAFU potential for me to do it. As far as I can tell from the SPI archives, substantial ranges (/16) have been blocked in the past. Favonian (talk) 11:07, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

I was told that the new IPs are too widespread for a range block. Is there a template for article talk pages to redirect to a subpage for IPs? I'm sure that's what is done when things get really bad. Dougweller (talk) 18:14, 9 June 2014 (UTC)

It is the standard operating procedure, and so there really should be a template to guide the bellowing herds of IP editors to the open sub-page, but I haven't been able to locate one. Sock of an indef banned user

Hello Favonian, you may remember User:James Lindberg who was indef banned by you. Well, he had returned a few times as IP but now he has made an account, User:Howard Laxer (see: Special:Contributions/Howard_Laxer). Its the same old edits exemple where he removes sourced historical content and replaces with a text preending Macedonia was never part of Yugoslavia. He has been also creating a lot of seasonal artcles with absolute no source, and that is another major problem. FkpCascais (talk) 16:54, 13 June 2014 (UTC)

Its him, that article List of Macedonian football champions is not much edited, and only he tries allways the same things: ignoring Yugoslavia, pretending some sort of independent vice-kingdom of Macedonia, then atributing old titles of disbanded clubs to current teams, and edits like this one: diff which leave me no doubts its him. Seventhegeneral redux

Hello Favonian I was instructed by another editor to create this account with my real name. If proof of my identity is need please feel free to contact me. The username I was using was Seventhegeneral yet, I am NOT the person known as Seven the General. The article i was attempting to write I was still working on, My issue was that I didn't know the forum had real editors here, i thought you were trolling me, as a simple user who knew how to use the forum! Lasty, i apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion i may have caused as I thought i was doing things correct. I have since studied the policies and the neutral point of views need along with the proper citations. I believe I now have corrected my errors and I wish to unblock the topic for the chance to show that I understand the forum as well as my wrong doings.

Childish vandalism by obviously connected accounts and an IP

Hello. I'd appreciate if you took a quick look at the contributions of these obviously connected users: 217.230.73.89 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), Yourname1 (talk · contribs), Your_Mother123987 (talk · contribs) and KKppYYmmOO (talk · contribs), because I'm tired of their childish vandalism (vandalism that makes it clear that it's a case of WP:CIR). Exemplified by this and this edit on Sundern, repeatedly changing the names of the villages of Langscheid and Stockum to Lange scheide ("long/deep vagina") and Stock dumm ("dumb as a log"). The IP geolocates to the same part of Germany as the subject of the article they have vandalised, showing that it's a bunch of local kids. Yourname1 has returned three times now since the 16th, making the same kind of silly edits each time, while the others were only active on the 16th and haven't been seen since. Another problem editor

Hello. Please take a look at the contributions of 123et4 (talk · contribs), a user who seems to have a very poor grasp of English, but still insists on adding home-made "translations" to various articles about weapons (such as these: #1, #2, #3, #4), in spite of repeated requests for them to stop (see user's talk page). The way the user just carries on with the disruptive editing, without engaging in a discussion about it, also seems to indicate a competence problem, in addition to their poor English. And it's not a case of not knowing that they have a talk page, because the difference between diff #1 and diff #2 clearly shows that they have read my first message to them. Definite WP:CIR issues. but the terminology in this belligerent field doesn't make life easy for international editors. John Marshall High School (Los Angeles)

I undid your revert of user:Armendariz12345's edit to John Marshall High School (Los Angeles). I have no issue with your block, but his last edit to this article seemed to be returning the article to what the school's official website says here. List of Turkic dynasties and countries

Would you be interested in protecting "List of Turkic dynasties and countries", there appear to be about 4 IPs(most likely logged out users) and a "new user"(user:1sasdasd, most likely a sock) that continue to revert other editors after adding undue weight to the article. Help understanding Misplaced Pages's rules

My Edit of Digger T. Rock

In my edit I changed the line that says "...presumably time-lapse view of his body decaying with only his helmet and skeleton remaining" to "...with only his helmet and clothes remaining". You reverted this change, although if you actually look at footage of the game or play the game then you can actually see that he doesn't decay until he's a skeleton - his entire corpse is gone.
