Achna (Template:Lang-el; Template:Lang-tr), is a village in Northern Cyprus, just North of the United Nations Buffer Zone. After the conflict in 1974, the Greek Cypriots in Achna built a new village south of the old location.

Achna is well known for its football club Ethnikos Achna FC, that won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2006.

History

The inhabitants built a provisional village of tents in the Achna forest (Dasaki tis Achnas), some hundred meters away from their old village, and started later to build a new village, Dasaki Achnas, near the old location, within the confines of the Dhekelia Sovereign Base Area
