Lester Shum (Chinese: 岑敖暉) is the deputy secretary-general of the Hong Kong Federation of Studentswhich he held since April 2014 and a leader of the current 2014 umbrella revolution in Hong Kong, his partners are Alex Chow, Yvonne Leung, Joshua Wong and Nathan Law and the five of them have been considered as the '5 leaders of Hong Kong Federation of Students'
His political awakening came from an internet forum called Hong Kong Golden Forum. He has been detained by the police during in October of 2014 and was arrested during a sit-in in July.
