===== History : =====

K.L.E. since 1916 – 97 Years of Selfless Service
KLE is a byword in India’s Educational spectrum. Its success story, of nearly ten decades, portrays the dedication with which millions of people worked selflessly in the making of the ‘KLE’. Its 244 institutions spread across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Delhi etc., narrate amazing stories differently, yet, a harmony is maintained without amiss. Our alumni spread across the world are unofficial ambassadors promoting ‘Brand KLE’.

Unmindful of the constraints, the KLE has made internationally acceptable infrastructure available to its learners coming from every strata of the global habitat. While our Hostels provide homely comforts; choice of gardens refresh; our gyms, tennis courts, indoor stadiums, playgrounds of global standards support the young minds with fitness for toughness. Not to speak of internet and IT enabled facilities as they are part of the integrated setup.

Teachers capable of standing up to world-class requirements have also made learning at KLE Institutions, indeed, an interesting experience. The range of program-options offered in our centres of excellence is also a reason why KLE has been the most preferred choice.

Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, a pride of the nation, is one among the top ten medical colleges. The 2400 beds KLES Dr.Prabhakar Kore Hospital & M.R.C., Belgaum, with Hi-tech support systems is one of the 14 best hospitals in the country. Neighbouring 1200 beds Charitable Hospital, besides being a lifeline of the poor and needy patients, is also a model centre of learning for medicos. Our B.V.Bhoomraddi College of Engineering & Technology, Hubli, that shaped the destiny of Smt. Sudha Murthy, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation, is a gateway of technical education in this part of the country. A host of other Engineering Colleges, Polytechnics, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dental, Ayurved, Management, Hotel Management, Law, Fashion, Tourism, Agriculture, English Medium Schools and Institutions of Conventional Education make KLE into an educational mosaic.

Our overseas collaborations have found global acceptance and local attraction to the programs offered. This has been aptly described by a global educationist as “KLE Offers 5 Star Learning”.

The legacy of selfless-service and sacrifice left behind by the founding fathers is pursued sincerely by the Management as never before. The visionary leadership provided by Dr. Prabhakar Kore has helped the KLE reach enviable heights. His spectacular chairmanship beyond 30 years, with the active support of his team of elected members, embodies the collective efforts of everyone in KLE, including 13,000 members of the trust, 1,25,000 students, and, 16,000 faculty, in making KLE an international Education-destination.
