Well, well

A well is a hole in the ground that you get either clean water or dirty oil out of. In your case, the Notification feature told me that you had put a message on my talk page. On research, it appears that you subtracted a post from my talk page. It appears that an IP had posted to AN or ANI, and that I had notified the IP that they should have notified the subject, and I notified the subject, and the IP then said that they had forgotten to notify. Now you removed the message from the IP, because the IP has been determined to be a sockpuppet for a user who was banned in 2007. Any user who was banned that long ago could get unbanned if they would just be quiet for a year without engaging in sockpuppetry. I know that in general it is a policy that posts by banned users can be reverted. In this case, I think that reverting the post was neutral, neither useful nor harmful, but if reverting everything is simpler than selecting what to revert, that is all right. Editing Articles

As you stated on the user page, you should let others edit your articles. Possessiveness of articles is covered by the policy on article ownership and is not permitted. Editing the articles in the articles is normally a minor edit. It is typically only necessary if English was a second language for the original author. We have multiple copies of an IP who doesn't understand IP and so keeps adding copies. That is, the unregistered editor doesn't recognize intellectual property, and generates copies of himself and copies of stuff that should not be copied. Even if the IPs are not a banned editor, they still need blocking, and their pomposity is getting bizarre. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:54, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello Bladesmulti :-). I have seen that you reverted some edits made by a banned-user. Well that is understandable, but as one of the editors with the most edits in Iranian-related articles (and also some in Armenian, Kurdish and Turkic-related), i would like to ask if i have the permission to restore those edits, well - of course after i have investigated it to see whether it was a acceptable edit(s) or not. See Misplaced Pages:BANREVERT, you cannot recover the changes that have been made by a banned user. When you are taking the responsibility of his changes, you will also discover that it is actually hard to even recognize that his versions have got a grip. If the subject comes from Safavid Empire and it is not liked by this banned user, he would highlight only those events that occurred in Afghanistan and mark rest of the Iranian geography as Safavid Iran. If he found that one citation is undue, he would probably remove those information that are due. But you can let me know any of the pages where you may have thought that his changes were important so that we can rephrase and use better citations. Bladesmulti (talk) 23:57, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

If the info seems to be valid, check the sources, and if possible, improve it. In case of doubt, or just out of courtesy, discuss first at the talkpage. Reliable info is always welcome; just make sure it's reliable. And take your time to check the sources; that in itself is fun too. At leats it is to me; I like to learn new things.
