Orphaned non-free image File:LPUK Logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:LPUK Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:30, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Beefheart edits
Hi Sir Richardson
I note your corrs to my 1st para here Captain Beefheart.
The main point I am trying to make early here (I touch upon it in a later edit) is the FACT that the band are titled in two different forms. "His" & "The".
Whilst it may seem superficial at first glance, it does seem to have profound effect on how some discographies of his work are constructed.
"The" is the primary reference, whilst "His" was a short-lived 'fad'. It is also a distinct 'tracker' to the release of archived works.
It also strongly indicates Beefheart's emergence from simply being a band member & a recognition of the members 'in their own right'
i.e. "Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band" to "Captain Beefheart" & "The Magic Band"
Maybe you can consider?
Thanks Webcor (talk) 22:59, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
PS: You are aware that Janet is later to become writer & co-writer of works? (aka Jan Van Vliet)
That's the reason I introduced her (& the timing of their marriage) which coincides with his solo departure...
Webcor (talk) 00:55, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Sir Richardson
Thanks for the style pointers. A veritable 'newbie' & not yet 'Wiki literate, I shall apply myself to it forthwith.
Guidance always much appreciated.
Question: Understand the 'title' of a recording is italic, with its tracks in quotes - however, for singles should the titles not be in italics? (As this is the 'title' of the work) I'm a bit confused on that one!
Regards Webcor (talk) 02:56, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks Sir Richardson
A number of singles, I refer to, are 'stand alone' titles and not issued from albums. Thus, I believe they need to be italicised (for the A-sides at least)?
Webcor (talk) 01:35, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
I would like to add this artist to the Wiki User:Webcor/Jan Van Vliet
Links awaiting in Captain Beefheart article. Advice/help appreciated.
It appears there is already a different Jan van Vliet - I am now unable to add (musician) to header (for example), to my work. Guidance appreciated.

Re: David Icke
You recently claimed that the addition of David Icke to the category Antisemitism in the United Kingdom was "unfounded, libelous and POV". However, it is a matter of historical fact that 1) antisemitism in the United Kingdom is an acceptable category, and 2) David Icke has promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories in his books, such as claiming that The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is real, and he has flirted with Holocaust revisionism, etc. If you disagree with that category, perhaps you can recommend another category that is reflected by the sources? please don't remove well sourced notable content from the Ron Paul article
The fact that Ron Paul is one of the 20 most admired men in the world according to the highly respected gallup poll of americans and the only congressman to achieve that distinction is an extremely prestigious and notable honor that should not just be arbitrarily removed from his article. Replaceable fair use File:AngerFireworks.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:AngerFireworks.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 20:24, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
Copyedit Talk:Jack_Parsons_(rocket_engineer)#Copyedit_April_2014
Hi
Just started with the lead, have left it at that while people take a look and, if no-one has any objections, I will carry one tomorrow, or later tonight if I get a quick reply :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 20:44, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for correcting those additions (Parson's->Parsons') - that was a bad error on my part.
- In my defence ... nope lol, should have caught that myself. Chaosdruid (talk) 10:54, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, no worries. It happens to the best of us. JJARichardson (talk) 13:20, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
- I came in a couple of times last night, but saw you were working on the article, so left it - RL took most of today, just went to look and noticed you are working on it. I'll leave it for a few hours again. Chaosdruid (talk) 19:44, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

- Oh dear, that situation must be a serious pain. My best wishes that it's resolved. JJARichardson (talk) 20:54, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
- OK, USB problems fixed, back sorted, RL commitments cleared, free to edit. I will start in an hour or so, just single sections which I will put the GOCE tag on so you know where I am working - that way you can work on other sections without me affecting you. Chaosdruid (talk) 13:52, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
- I was going to try a couple of hours yesterday, but noticed you had been working on the article, so left it until today. I will start on 1.4 - 1.7 after the Grand Prix at around 15:00 UTC. Chaosdruid (talk) 10:45, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
- I've finished the main copyedit run, and ran scripts (as noted on the talk page). I have also asked a coordinator to take a look as it is my first major edit after a break, and am intending to take another read through tomorrow to make sure I didn't miss anything, as well as make any changes off that talk-page list that we agreed to.
- Best wishes, and thx for the x-metal comment - I do have to wonder what he wanted that for though! Great article, well-written, really interesting with some interesting facts and links and a great insight into the start of the "Sci-Fi religions". Chaosdruid (talk) 22:13, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
Apologies for the lack of communication, as well as the time it took to get the copyedit done. I have had a few RL issues, and will have to call it quits on the article for now. I had hoped to get back to it over the last two weeks, but I fear that is not going to happen unfortunately. I have explained my situation more thoroughly on the GOCE coordinators page and linked it as I feel you also deserve an explanation.
I have loved reading the article, I thought "hey, a rocket scientist, that will be cool", then JPL, Thelemites, open relationships & "witchcraft", intrigue, and Ron Hubbard - I have never told so many people about a Wiki article before! Thanks for being so understanding, and I hope you manage to get it through FA before I return! Chaosdruid (talk) 12:12, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
