"Requiem" is Killing Joke's second official single from their 1980 album Killing Joke. The single was originally released under E'G Records as a 12" single and featured the song Change as a B-side, a previous unofficial single. That same year, E'G Records released a 7" version of the single, exempting the demo version of "Requiem". Polydor also released this single as a 7" single only in Italy.

Foo Fighters version

A cover of "Requiem" appeared on the Foo Fighters 1997 single, "Everlong", as a B-side. Dave Grohl's vocals were "whispered", opposing Coleman's vocals on the original track, and the guitar riff on scale was brought down half a step. The Foo Fighters made a habit of performing the cover at several live shows. They were even joined by Coleman for a performance of the song at a show in New Zealand in 2003.

The song was also coved by the English punk band Beyond Dread
