London as a county

Please stop updating articles about places to name the county as "London". There is no longer any county of "London". It used to be a county, but even when in existence it did not correspond to the places you are modifying. Thanks! 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 15:34, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

The county of London was abolished in 1965, & replaced by Greater London. People generally refer to Greater London as London, much as I'm sure they did with the county of London. Romford is not in Essex, it hasn't been since 1965. Even when it was, there was no need to write Essex because Romford is a special post town. So tell me, which is more incorrect, putting Romford, London, or putting Romford, Essex? For your information, Greater London is a county for ceremonial purposes.
