Hello, My name is James DiMonte, a student of padua college for 3 years and I have seen highs and lowpoints in the schools history but I am disgusted by immature students using this page to insult others. In my last edit, I have personally verified that all information is correct and have removed the edit link to assure that such petty harrassment and bullying will no longer waste wikipedias bandwith.
Response: In the creation of this page I did not forsee the abuse it would undergo. I, too am a student at the school and I believe that Paduans should show greater respect to it, and the people who learn there, not just because the staff tell them to, but because they have a genuine pride for their school. I applaude your clean up efforts.

Response/Summary of Changes
I have changed the sentence of the word "Jibbed", so that it is not directed at anyone in particular.

NPOV dispute - "All boys attending the College must..."
I believe "All boys attending the College must, as part of their obligation to the College, be available, if required, to represent Padua in sporting fixtures. This may mean giving up part time jobs, and withdrawing from Club involvement." has been written with a bias from the student's perspective and is not written from a Neutral Point Of View (NPOV).

I too belive that this is a very biased statement, however for a different reason. It assumes that all paduans should play sport rather than other co-curricular activities (ie. chess, debating, music).
Bjzaba 08:15, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
- Chrisch, I agree that statement is a little extreme--after all attending the event also 'might' cause them to not meet the love of their life or cause any other of negative events to occur. Unless there is evidence that this obligation is an extreme one that is likely to affect student's life (e.g. attending each and every sporting and other school event) the statement should be moderated. Also 1) must, 2) part of their obligation and 3) if required all say the same thing--that it is a requirement of attending the college. Antonrojo 03:18, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Bjzaba, I'm interpreting your statement to mean that you know, as a fact, that students can chose to do other activities in lieu of sports and that's reflected in the edit mentioned below. Antonrojo 03:18, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
