Request for Comment: Capitalization of common names of animal species
Hello WikiProject members and others. As part of a discussion at WikiProject Animals, a number of editors have indicated that the presentation of the current guidelines on the capitalization of common names of species is somewhat unclear.
We wish to clarify and confirm existing uncontroversial guidelines and conventions, and present them in a "quick-reference" table format, for inclusion into the guidelines for the capitalization of common names of species. Please take a moment to visit the draft, and comment at talk. Your input is requested to determine whether or not this table is needed, and to ensure that it is done in the best way possible. Thank you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:43, 16 September 2011 (UTC) |

Hallo, just wondering: isn't Stralsund Highflier the English name of the German Stralsunder Hochflieger? I am refering to the EE-List of pigeon breeds. --84.181.55.190 (talk) 12:02, 8 November 2012 (UTC)_Stralsund_Highflier"> _Stralsund_Highflier">
Hallo, me again: There is a deletion request for commons:Pigeon Breeds (EE) at WMC (based on the EE-List). The Page was ment to give an overview about the existing Categories and Files and which breeds are missing. It should also provide the names for translation tables and help non-nativ-english-speakers to locate a special breed. The discussion takes place on commons:Commons:Undeletion_requests/Current_requests#Pigeon_Breeds_.28EE.29 --84.181.55.190 (talk) 14:12, 8 November 2012 (UTC)_Stralsund_Highflier"> _Stralsund_Highflier"> |
- I'm not a pigeon guy, but I think that you're probably best asking your question at the main Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Birds page. This task force appears to be inactive, with no active users currently participating (and it has even been suggested for deletion recently). --Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 22:55, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
