GuiXT is a core engine for SAP UI customization bundled since SAP R/3 4.6B that resides with SAP GUI on the client side. It is used to change the look and feel of the user interface on a per screen basis to optimize processes or transactions, without ABAP, Java, or configuration changes. To aggregate multiple screens, tabs, and transactions into a simplified business process, see Synactive's Liquid UI products, which are built on the GuiXT technology to enable organizations to customize transaction input screens to the specific requirements of different roles, leaving the essential SAP back-end untouched. Liquid UI products also extend SAP to iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile devices enabling access to native SAP screens, or simplified customized screens with one development effort and code base for desktop, mobile or web access to SAP.
GuiXT was created specifically for use with SAP and is integrated with SAP, but additional Liquid UI extensions to aggregate multiple screens into a particular end-to-end process for SAP GUI or mobile access operate independently of SAP solutions. Liquid UI users report greatly improved productivity and accuracy while, at the same time, reducing training and support costs without the need to upgrade to the latest SAP kernel release, or install Netweaver Gateway, OData, ITS, SAP Mobile Platform or any additional SAP software.
