Hi, I'm going to remind you that Misplaced Pages works a lot on consensus building and discussions among the community. It might be your belief that passengers on MH370 are dead, it might be my belief that they are being held hostage, it might be someone else's belief that they have been abducted by aliens. Contrary to what you believe, I do not think that I made a drastic edit. To say that anyone on that aircraft is absurd. Sonar radar has showed that it is on the bottom of the Indian Ocean. For anyone to say that anyone survived is outrages. Whatever your personal belief on this is, I cannot and will not change my edits based on one person. If you really wanted to confirm that everyone for sure is dead that could take months, years, or even decades. The wreckage may quite possibly never be found. It is still my belief that the fatalities and survivors section can be filled, but I will not edit the Flight 370 page again, because you will be mad. It makes it a bit harder to track when something has been changed, since I have to go to the article's history page. Not a huge deal, but a lot of your edits seem to cancel each other out - not sure why you're bothering to do all of them. Seems like something that belongs in the Sandbox. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with the image size, but you made two edits today within a minute ( ) to change the image size from 244px to 243px and back. I do not see a constructive reason for this, so you need to provide a valid explanation. Otherwise, expect other editors to start looking at these edits as just clogging up the edit history, accomplishing no improvement to the article—and ultimately disrupting the editing process.

There is a separate issue of whether to force the image size or leave it unspecified and let the MediaWiki software choose the size. That is an editorial decision that should be discussed at the talk page. Images must have a provable copyright status

I see you've added pictures to Charlie Crist and several other articles this evening. The problem is that you've sourced the images to bing.com. To use an image, the image must be a free image. As a rule, a picture you find randomly on the internet isn't free. —C.Fred (talk) 04:32, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

Ditto for the photo of Brad Ashford. A Google search for this image suggests that it was taken by Omaha World-Herald photographer Kent Sievers: see this story and this one, both of which attribute the photo to Sievers, and both of which bear copyright-2015 tags. There's a chart at Commons:Licensing that explains in some detail what images we can and can't include; I'd suggest that you study that before you upload any more images to Commmons. — Ammodramus (talk) 15:02, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

How are we supposed to access politician's portraits? For example Rep. Brenda L. Lawrence (D), (Michigan) does not have a picture. Also some members of congress have very old photos, some are very new others are not. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spongebob1944 (talk • contribs)

Generally speaking, the same as getting a picture of any other person. However, anybody elected to Congress will likely have an official portrait taken and posted at a .gov website. That picture will be taken by a federal employee doing official work and thus be in the public domain. Look, I don't want to get in an edit war with you but I think her "official picture for AG" needs to be used. Yes it is small, but unless you can find a larger image of her official portrait, it should stay. I don't think it really matters about the size (If it was smaller and you couldn't really see her than I'd see it as a problem), but it is just fine. "Lincoln's Boyhood Home"

Yes, "Lincoln's Boyhood Home" is on the Welcome to Indiana signs. However, that doesn't make it the state's nickname. If you look at the State Emblem page on the state's website, it lists "The Hoosier State" as the state nickname and "The Crossroads of America" as the state motto. "Lincoln's Boyhood Home" is akin to Michigan putting Pure Michigan on their welcome signs - a reminder of what tourists can find in the state. I don't appreciate you insinuating that I'm stupid and don't get it. You don't know me, and what right do you have to say make sense in a very sarcastic tone. I'll give you an example in Wisconsin their nickname is the Badger State, but sometimes Wisconsin is commonly referred to as America's Dairyland. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to insinuate that you were stupid. "Make sense?" was not intended to be sarcastic at all; I was simply asking you if I had expressed myself clearly, if you understood what I was trying to say - not because you are too stupid to understand, but because sometimes people don't understand one another (as clearly happened here).

As far as Wisconsin goes, that should probably be changed on their page also, as Wisconsin History says "America's Dairyland" is the State Slogan, which again is different from a nickname.

At any rate, if you want the Indiana page to say "Lincoln's Boyhood Home" is a nickname for Indiana, you'll need to provide a reliable source that says it's a nickname. ~ ONUnicornproblem solving 17:04, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

As if the Indiana's welcome sign doesn't say Lincoln's Boyhood Home right on the front. Is that not proof? Furthermore you were being sarcastic, and you and I know it. If you wish to talk in a disrespectful manner, then I will simply ignore the comments you leave me. I'm not by far the best Misplaced Pages editor, but at least I treat other editors with respect.
