WikiProject X is live!

Hello everyone!

You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Misplaced Pages:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

Category:Taipei Underground Streets, which is within the scope of this WikiProject, has been nominated for upmerging to Category:Shopping malls in Taipei. Portia Li

Are there any Chinese speakers who could help in sourcing this article about a reporter for the World Journal, Chinese-language American newspaper owned by the same group that runs the United Daily News in Taiwan? It's quite possible that there are articles in the Chinese-language press, but they're hard to find and interpret without a knowledge of the language. The article is being discussed for deletion at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Portia Li. – Voceditenore (talk) 06:31, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Jay Chou

Jay Chou has been nominated for Misplaced Pages:Featured article review at Misplaced Pages:Featured article review/Jay Chou/archive1. Please comment on the article or assist in bringing it back to featured article status. DrKiernan 08:36, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Chia-Hui Lu

Can anyone help with the article Chia-Hui Lu? I recently declined a speedy since there does seem to be an assertion of notability but I think that the coverage will be predominantly in another language. There's a new user there (Godzillarampage) that is interested in improving the page. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:28, 6 April 2015 (UTC)

@Tokyogirl79: I don't think the subject satisfies GNG. The only significant, independent coverage outside of blogs I could find from the first few pages of Google was this interview. Furthermore, the claims in the article don't seem to meet WP:BAND, and I don't see additional information in the zhwiki article that would establish notability. Unless the new user can come up with sources, I'd suggest sending it to AfD. wctaiwan (talk) 17:26, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
