Guillermo "Willy" Hernangómez Geuer (born May 27, 1994) is a Spanish professional basketball player who currently plays for Baloncesto Sevilla of the Liga ACB, on loan from Real Madrid. On April 24, 2015, he entered the 2015 NBA draft as a potential second-round selection. The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Hernangómez with the fifth pick in the second round (35th overall) of the 2015 NBA draft, and later traded him to the New York Knicks in the same night.

Professional career

Considered one of the most important prospects of Real Madrid, Hernangómez played his first pro seasons at its reserve team. On summer 2013, Hernangómez was loaned to Cajasol Sevilla, extending his agreement for one more season in the next summer.

On June 25, 2015, Hernangómez was selected with the 35th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, and later traded to the New York Knicks in the same night. This way, he joined his teammate from Sevilla, Kristaps Porziņģis, who was selected with the 4th overall pick by the Knicks.
