Your reverts
Is there a purpose with all of your reverts? Kingjeff (talk) 00:32, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- Which ones? TL565 (talk) 00:45, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- All the baseball ones specifically. Kingjeff (talk) 00:54, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'm just getting fed up with people trying add things like 2011-present when that season hasn't even started yet. I'm just trying to keep things consistent. TL565 (talk) 00:58, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- This is only for a small amount of transactions like the Miguel Olivo trade. It's okay to put it in and it can always be deleted. Kingjeff (talk) 01:01, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- I thought you had to play in a game for that stat to be added. I don't know if there is a ruling on it, but I just want to keep all articles the same or if you want I'll just leave. TL565 (talk) 01:10, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- What I am saying is that more than 99% of all transactions will result in the players playing for their new team. In the case of the Miguel Olivo trade, it was to get a compensation pick in the draft. I would support not putting the Blue Jays in for Miguel Olivo but the rest it wil more likely than not, involve these players playing for their new teams unless these are minor leaguers. I hope you don't mind my interjecting, but TL565 is right. Nobody has played for anybody in 2011 and to say that "99% of all transactions will result in the players playing for there new team violates WP:CRYSTAL. --Muboshgu (talk) 16:53, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Barry Zito
Instead of just reverting can you please got to the talk page and discuss why you feel the info should or should not be included in the article. Reverting without discussing accomplishes nothing except maybe drawing a block for edit warring. ~~ GB fan ~~ 12:01, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Barry Zito is a WS champion. Why does Ryan Grant of the GB Packers get a super bowl champ notation but not zito? Zito played and was in uniform ALL YEAR! They did not disallow him from the parade because he wasn't on the roster. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.253.250.153 (talk) 20:56, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
MLB player profiles
Why are going on every single page and removing (2011–present) from the infobox and replacing it with (Present) next to their current ball club? – Michael (talk) 19:48, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Funny thing =p
I was going to place a warning about 3RR and all and then I took a close look at whose edits you were reverting. Nice work. ;) Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 06:22, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah I'm not sure if the 3RR would've applied to me because Superb edits in bunches so its hard to revert in one edit. I had to make sure they were all undone or else some edits might go unnoticed. TL565 (talk) 06:30, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- Indeed, you could use rollback I guess (If you have that Twinkle thingy), but I'm not entirely sure how to make that work right. I doubt anyone would say you didn't do a good thing. Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie Say Shalom! 06:38, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Armenia and Azerbaijan
Hey, I've reverted your edits over at the protests page. It's generally Misplaced Pages policy to seek consensus before making a major and potentially controversial change; that's what I did before adding Armenia and Azerbaijan to the article. Though those countries aren't always included in the definition of the Middle East, Misplaced Pages's own article on Middle East does mention those countries as part of a broader definition (sometimes called the "Greater Middle East", although it's my understanding that term originated with American neoconservatives in the previous decade) sometimes used. As the historical boundaries of the Middle East have shifted even just over the past several decades and many sources still consider Armenia and Azerbaijan to be Middle Eastern, I believe (as did others who agreed with my proposal to add those protests to the main article) that if we're willing to use a generous definition of North Africa that includes Djibouti and Mauritania, we should be willing to use a generous definition of the Middle East that includes Armenia and Azerbaijan, as necessitated by the circumstances (those protests overtly have far more to do with the other protests in the region than, say, the hunger strike in India or the protests in Wisconsin). That's why I oppose removing Armenia and Azerbaijan, even though I'd prefer the use of a less contentious article title overall. Cheers. -Kudzu1 (talk) 15:44, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
assumptions
Please dont make assumptions about other editors or their opinons. You made a pretty big assumption here about my beliefs. --RadioFan (talk) 21:41, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- Look no offense, but when you claim something such as what a radio host says is notable and your name is Radiofan, that's just what I thought of. TL565 (talk) 21:47, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- I couldn't care less what the topic is. If it meets notability guidelines, it meets notability guidelines. If you disagree, please go nominate it for deletion. As for my userid, I do a lot of editing of radio station articles, mostly around technical details. I took offense because you stereotyped me, you know it, and I dont appreciate it. I just wanted you to know.--RadioFan (talk) 21:50, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- There's no need to get all aggressive, There is still plenty of reasons for why it should not be added. TL565 (talk) 21:55, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- I"m not here to discuss whether or not the proposed addition should be made. That debate is for the lists's talk page. You made an assumption about my motivations. That's not cool and I wanted to make sure you knew that it didn't go unnoticed. Please also dont interpret getting to the point as agression, that's not my intention. --RadioFan (talk) 22:02, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- I apologize if I made any offensive assumption, but that's honestly the first thing I thought of when we started discussing. TL565 (talk) 22:22, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Specifically, don't add information claiming that the Fobos-Grunt mission has failed just because it is past the deadline for reestablishing contact. There have been some reports that contact has been reestablished, so we should wait for an official statement rather than assuming that it is unrecoverable. GW… 10:37, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

Re: Xbox One images
WP:NFCC says that "Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose."
The encyclopedic purpose is to show what the console looks like. As it is now possible to obtain free images of the console, we can no longer use non-free images of it. ViperSnake151 Talk 02:55, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- Why are you telling me this? I was not adding non-free images. TL565 (talk) 03:03, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- ooops, that was supposed to be for User:PantherLeapord. Must've hit the wrong link D: ViperSnake151 Talk 03:07, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
Eli Whiteside
I reverted your change to the Whiteside article. A discussion was held about Zito (who was in a similar situation) which resulted in the compromise of listing him as a World Series champion but noting that he was not on the playoff roster that year. If you still feel that Whiteside should not be listed as a WS champion for 2012, feel free to start a discussion, but don't remove that from the infobox unless a consensus is reached deciding not to include it. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 15:18, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- No, YOU need to start a discussion on why it should be included. The consensus has always been explained on WT:BASEBALL. If he wasn't on the postseason roster, he will not be listed no matter how unfair it is. Zito was a special case because so many different people kept adding him as a champion. Eli Whiteside wasn't even a major player during that season so there is no reason for it. You might as well add every single player who wasn't on the postseason roster. Disambiguation link notification for June 23
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Dreamcast games, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages DUX, European Super League and Kalisto (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Misplaced Pages, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please see arbitration decision regarding this topic, all users are limited to 1RR per a 24 hour period. Block Notice
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice:{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
As noted above, the article is under a one revision limit per 24 hours due to active arbitration remedies. Mike V • Talk 15:45, 31 July 2014 (UTC)

NYS gubernatorial election reverts
When reverting an article you should state your reasons to help avoid reversion wars. For example 22:36, 19 November 2014 edit was a revert that breaks form from NYS gubernatorial elections 1962-2006, 11 articles.
- If you actually looked at the edits you would see that unnecessary Blank, Void, Scattering votes were added when there were already Scattering votes in the results already. Blank votes are not counted in the totals and the math would have been wrong. TL565 (talk) 21:22, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
- Your edit has gotten rid of the majority and swing also, which you have failed to note. If BVS needed to be removed, then that should be done and noted rather than a full revert.Past election pages have BVS, with only the scattering included in the math, as the board of elections of NYS does.
- OK, you can put the majority and swings back, but don't add the blank and void votes. TL565 (talk) 22:24, 22 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, more work to do.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Michael Grimm (politician). Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 15:45, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
Succession box
You changed the "USRepSuccessionBox" to a general box format at Michael Grimm. Is there any reason for that? Kraxler (talk) 11:51, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- I was just copying the format from another representative's page, whose seat was also vacant for a time. It was the only format that would work with the "s-vac" template. With the other format, I could only make it say "Succeeded by vacant", which doesn't sound as right to me than just "vacant". So I changed the format so it matched with the "s-vac" template. There is no visual difference between the two formats, so I don't know why it would be a big deal. TL565 (talk) 17:56, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation. You're right that "Vacant" looks much better than "Succeeded by Vacant", I'll mention it on the pertaining template talk page, possibly the USRepSuccessionBox can be improved this way. Kraxler (talk) 13:46, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

I noticed your comment here. Were you aware that they were edit warring with two different editors across 5 (Michael Grimm, Charles B. Rangel, Jerry McNerny, Barbara Lee and George Miller). CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 14:27, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- None of their edits violated the 3RR, which doesn't apply to multiple pages. They have deleted my post on their page, so I don't think they want my support anyway. TL565 (talk) 17:40, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- I am terribly sorry for deleting your post as I was unaware that you had posted on my wall. It is nice to see that there are still editors out there who are not trigger happy with the block and ban button! SleepCovo (talk) 12:18, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
