Radhe Maa and her team of devotees support various medical causes and initiatives. Medical initiatives like blood donation drives, heart check-up camps and dental check-up camps are carried out throughout the year.

In July 2015 a woman from Mumbai issued a complaint against Radhe Maa for dowry harassment. She also stated that Radhe Maa physically abused her for various reasons. A criminal offense was registered against seven people, including the woman's husband, at the orders of a magistrate court. Moreover, Radhe Maa was found kissing, and hugging several of her followers which created controversy as public display of affection is considered obscene and largely unaccepted in India, warranting imprisonment up to 3 months or a fine, or both. As of 6 Aug 2015, the god-woman was reported absconding even as Mumbai police was mulling issuing a look-out notice for her.

In August 2015, she also became a focus of a new controversy when politician and reality TV star Rahul Mahajan, son of BJP supremo, late Pramod Mahajan leaked pictures of her dressed in Western attire, namely, boots, a short dress and a red beret . This caused a storm on social media , as the usually conservative god woman who could be regularly seen in traditional Indian wear and heavy make up, was seen dressing in what is considered inappropriate by for her position.
