Tabby Callaghan (born Trevor John Callaghan on April 22, 1981 in Sligo, Ireland) is a musician and formed his first band 'Petronella' in around 1998. The band had some success in Ireland and their single for "Feeling So Low" got into the top 20 singles chart in Ireland. Petronella also appeared in the TV show "Star For A Night".

Petronella then broke up and Tabby formed a band called "Boom", later renamed "DZ5". DZ5 auditioned for the ITV talent show The X Factor. The judges thought that only Tabby should go through to the next round of the competition. He decided to go solo without his bandmates and re-audition. He went on to be a semi-finalist.

After The X Factor, Tabby was signed up to front his own fly on the wall "rockumentary" titled "What Tabby Did Next" which screened on ITV in August of 2005, the same month Tabby's debut single was released.

The single was called 'Number One', which was changed from 'Holes In My Shoes' as Tabby had announced on the rockumentary. The A Side - Number One is an original track penned by Tabby himself and Mark Hudson (who had worked with him on the X Factor). The B-Side was a cover of the Slade hit My Oh My which had been performed on the show. The single, only released in Ireland, shot straight to number 7 in the Irish charts.

Tabby has played in the world famous birthplace to The Beatles, The Cavern in Liverpool. Tabby's trademark playing live is to play in his bare feet. He kicked off his boots half way through the gig. Unfortunately, or maybe not for Tabby, his boots were stolen from the stage by a crazed fan and Tabby was left bootless! Thankfully The Cavern had a spare pair of boots in their office which had been left there by an artist a few months earlier. It was only later on that night that Tabby discovered the original owner of the black, worn biker boots was no other than Ronnie Wood. Tabby performed on the same stage as The Beatles and rocked out in the same boots as The Rolling Stones.

Tabby is currently touring the UK on a string of live shows. His new single, "Take A Swing" is set to be released on August 28th 2006 followed shortly by an album.

Tabby recently played a label showcase where he was signed by an as yet undisclosed record label.
