Merger proposal with Beats 1

I propose that Beats 1 be merged into Apple Music. I think that the content in the Beats 1 article can easily be explained in the context of Apple Music. While both articles are still stubs currently, and not much information on this product has been released yes, it's probably worthwhile to have this conversation on a merge now before large amounts of editing happens. BU Rob13 (talk) 19:11, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Or just boldly merge it in with little fanfare. It can always split out summary style as necessary. – czar 19:21, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

Beats1 should be a seperate article, and there certainly shouldn't be a serperate infobox for it in this article since there isn't much content here about the channel itself. Makes as much sense as redirecting iTunes Radio here. AKA Casey Rollins (talk) 19:56, 3 July 2015 (UTC)

A month ago, there was no significant, dedicated coverage for the radio station. In the past few days since its launch, that has changed. I doubt anyone would oppose its own article. – czar 20:03, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
I would oppose it if it means that Beats 1 ends up being a stub.--Totie (talk) 00:38, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
Beats 1 Radio certainly merits it's own article, especially since there is almost nothing about teh station here. There is tons of different conetent on the station that can be elaborated upon (OVOSOUNDRADIO, for example). Atomthegod (talk) 22:38, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

iTunes Radio merger proposal

The existing iTunes Radio page is limited in its coverage, while Apple Music is shaping up to be a much more sizable topic/article. In my view, it would make sense to integrate any noteworthy content from the iTunes Radio article into this page; it can form a more comprehensive "History" section since it can be considered an beginning stages of the new service, and can obviously still be listed as a current feature of Apple Music in its new form. WikiRedactor (talk) 16:21, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

I don't think, this might be a good idea. It could be necessary if Apple closes this service. But if the both exists, they needs different articles, too.

No, iTunes Radio is different than Apple Music. --Frmorrison (talk) 21:10, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
Here's the thing: it's no longer iTunes Radio, now it's just Radio. This article is now out-of-date, and should be merged or updated to note it is merely a feature of Apple Music, or of iTunes (it is, of course, Apple's fault this is so confusing). Having read the iTunes Radio article, there really isn't much worth saving from a merge. Launch dates, technical specs, system requirements, and then a paragraph on... Apple Music. A merge is in order. WWB (talk) 17:12, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
iTunes Radio continues to work on iOS 7 and iOS 8.0–8.2 and older versions of iTunes from before Apple Music, no? I don’t see a reason to merge it. Just make sure that Apple Music is only mentioned as the successor service and leave the article as it is. We don’t have to destroy a perfectly good article just because Apple discontinued it in its current form.–Totie (talk) 18:00, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

I thought iTunes Radio, in the latest iTunes update and according to Apple, is now just called Radio and a freemium feature of Apple Music. Still, I'm sure people still use the old version and simply merging the articles now may confuse users. AKA Casey Rollins Talk With Casey 21:31, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

I made some changes to the iTunes Radio article to reflect this (without prejudice to the discussion). I think we can leave it in its current state, unless someone would like to expand it with reviews and such. I still don’t see a reason to merge the articles.–Totie (talk) 22:59, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
If the articles are not merged, the current article should be changed to reflect the fact it has been succeeded by Apple Music. The service no longer exists as 'iTunes Radio' and it makes no sense to have an article that refers to it still existing in that state. Sammich28 (talk) 21:30, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
I’ve already updated it, as I said. Users who still have the right versions of iTunes and iOS can still access the service and it’s not entirely succeeded by Apple Music. For instance, it is still possible for iTunes Match subscribers to listen to radio stations without ads and with unlimited skipping. Apple Music Radio requires a subscription for the latter.–Totie (talk) 23:17, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Pre-launch speculation

I've removed the Nilay Patel pre-launch editorial/speculation from from the Reception section. There's no point to have that kind of pre-announcement speculation in here--how could it be considered "Reception" if it was published before any information about it was even announced? And even so, the referenced post was really a commentary on DRM & streaming music services in general, and if anything belongs in the streaming music article. It's difficult to see how its addition described Apple Music any better. Kzoohockey (talk) 21:41, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Pricing

I have created a table with all the countries and respective pricing. Please fill this table up with all the 100+ countries. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.165.183.115 (talk) 13:33, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

We do not include directories of prices. If the price difference was somehow the subject of significant commentary, add something in prose, but WP doesn't do tables like this. – czar 16:08, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

$9.99 is the economic equilibrium poin?

"After that, it would cost US$9.99 per month, close to the economic equilibrium point for the recording industry estimated by the Open Music Model." what does that actually mean, in laymans terms? 118.210.93.246 (talk) 13:26, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
