== Please stop. ==

Please stop removing material from the Chuckle Brothers article. It seems that you have a problem with any material about them which is even the slightest bit critical toward. Why is this? Articles need to remain fair and balanced. They do not need to be overly critical, but likewise not the other way either. It seems that you are quick to defend the Brothers, for whatever reason and if you do not stop this then I will have to enforce an article ban onto you. You are not doing the page any favours.

Yes, it is rather impressive - I'm quite taken with it. I thought about submitting it as a Featured Picture candidate, but after a perusal of the required technical standards of exactitude, I felt that this was one mountain which Maria wouldn't be climbing.... What a stunning picture! Why not nominate it for FP, there's nothing to lose! Mr Holiday will be away for the foreseeable future. Months of exploring the Misplaced Pages back-streets has rather taken its toll on his delicate constitution, and he is suffering some unfortunate side-effects, such as taking life seriously and referring to himself in the third person.

He sends his love to you all. Free free to treat this page as a kinda virtual pub, below are a selection of alcoholic beverages, some nibbles and tabs. Enjoy! .User:Micro.dot.cotton

Hopefully you're not departing permanently, HBH, though I do empathise - quite a lot of self-suppression is necessitated on here, and it can indeed take its toll. Hey there, Cal Mooney,

Thank you for all your good work, and especially for coming back to weigh in here. Remember when kids were allowed to make stupid mistakes in their own time? Even if they had famous parents? The tabloid ish will always be around on the web to haunt her, but do we really have to perpetuate this on WP? Also, with you and me gone for a Burton, what do you think will happen to WP:BUCKET? Anyhow, it’s been emotional. Don’t forget to say hi to Miss Freedia for me. As for the much loved Miss Gerda, she's turning into quite the anarchist, innit? About Hearfourmewesique

Hello, my friend. First, thanks for the RfA support. :) Now, down to business:

I thought I'd take a shot at a deal with Hearfourmewesique. I'm not sure if that's a good idea.

The bottom line: I told him I might unblock him. I said he has to be nice or else I'd blow him out the airlock, sending him tumbling end over end into open space indefinitely.

He pointed out your incivility, namely "You're obviously incompetent and shouldn't be editing...". That's plainly inappropriate.

So, what I want is, if he's unblocked, that you steer clear of him and be civil in general, lest I (you can pick your favourite):

  • Push your computer into lava checkY
  • Push you into lava
  • Make you wear an "I ♥ Lava" t-shirt in public
  • Make you go on one of those lame, overly-touristy, Hawaiian, volcano-side, lava-visiting trips

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Okay, okay! The last one is toooooo cruel! I'll comply!"

I just want this and future issues to go away and for everyone to edit constructively. Also, I detest the kinds of remarks like the one you made. It hurts the project, a thing I rabidly defend.

So, if you don't want to get rabies, and you would like to save me lots of time writing these sorts of posts, agree that you will not say nasty things to editors like that. Do you promise?

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:42, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

From a friendly(talk page stalker) @ Anna
You will have to add me to your (bewildering) thread here.
Why would any seriously dedicated WP editor wish to witness his/her return to the project. (?)
— | Gareth Griffith-Jones | The Welsh Buzzard |10:36, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
I guess my posts have been a bit odd of late. I've been taking a few tablets for something these past few days. They're not supposed to have side effects. I'm clear as a bell, unusually so, actually. But I'm feeling abnormally chipper. I'll try to stick to the facts.
To answer the question: Because what do we have to lose? A: He does a 180 and the project wins. B: He goes back to his old ways and gets indeffed quicksmart. The expense is my time watching what happens. I'm inspired by an editor who was unblocked a year ago and totally changed. I thought it a 2% chance and he surprised the heck out of me. Like that, it's a cost-benefit calculated risk. Percentage likelihood this will work out? Maybe a long shot. Who knows. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:04, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
Also, you may be right. If a few uninvolved editors think this is a bad idea, I will withdraw the proposal. I would actually appreciated the input. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:06, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your quick response. Although I take on board what you have added, I am WP:ENGVAR sceptical/skeptical. Do wish that others will comment here too!
— | Gareth Griffith-Jones | The Welsh Buzzard |11:30, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi Anna. Thanks for your kind message. Please help yourself to a beverage from the virtual bar above.

Admittedly, I let frustration get the better of me and could have handled that situation better. I have no problem with Hearfour being unblocked, as he says, he could just open another account so it matters little. For the record, I didn't actually say: "You're obviously incompetent and shouldn't be editing" (Though, at the time, I did feel that was pretty much the case.)

Anyway, I am taking a well-needed extended (possibly permanent) break from editing, and to make damn sure I stay away, won't be renewing my internet contract. Au revoir! --Hillbillyholiday 11:52, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Wishing you all the best, dear friend.
Sincerely,
Gareth Griffith-Jones| The Welsh Buzzard: Cardiff born and bred | — 11:57, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
Thank you kindly, my friend. Have a nice break, and I do hope to see you back. :) Very best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:48, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Gerda, I hope you don't mind, but for a while now I've been meaning to ask you: why did you get into trouble over infoboxes? I did try to work out the reason by following links from your talkpage, but haven't as yet managed to see what started it all off. Is there a short explanation of the whole saga? PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 22:47, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
It started in 2005, I started to edit in 2009, met an infobox discussion first in 2012, - ask the oldies ;) - Now, seriously, look at my simple dream and follow the link from "Like" under the image, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:01, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
I agree with your position on infoboxes, and don't understand editors who vehemently oppose and remove them. I have often looked at just the stats in an infobox, because I only wanted to find out when someone died or was born etc., and having to look in the article text for such information is more time-consuming. And I think they make an article look more complete. But I've never had any arguments over them—perhaps because most of my editing is on either geographical or plant articles, where I think infoboxes (or taxoboxes) are accepted as valueable. It's obvious that removing infoboxes out of articles about places would be quite destructive, seeing as they contain maps to locate the place concerned. Stick around for joy, support Sibelius ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:15, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Boombastic? I thought they called you Shagger Billy, not Shaggy Holliday?? Martinevans123 (talk) 20:10, 23 October 2015 (UTC) He was only never coming back after a month. (.. or was it a fourteenth month?) But a mere 23 hours... he actually could have stopped breathing, as User:Davey2010 seemed to be recommending?
Shagger billy? How very solidare you! Hillbillyholiday (mmhmm, this'll be the fifteenth time!)
Ah-ha! So... fed up with cyber-hacking and demanding a ransom, you turn up here to peddle your infamous brand of self-help baloney!! Is nowhere sacred?? Martinevans123 (talk) 21:11, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
Piddle peddle! "You"? Surely "your" — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 08:59, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
As you well know, Gareth, the keyboard on this laptop was produced at a time when Bill Gates was still in nappies, and since then has been used as a handy device for collecting toast crumbs and nail parings. That's my excuse and I am sticking to it (literally). I often set out to write proper sentences but seem to end up writing complete nonsense! So please feel free to introduce even a modicum of sense where you see fit. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:04, 25 October 2015 (UTC) I think my keyboard us almost as lethal as a Manchester xylophone!!
Tell me about it. I recently took a straw to my old keyboard and recovered almost a whole henry.. ...Happy daze Hillbillyholiday

South Summit (Everest)

I agree you on the premise but re-proding the article isn't going to go anywhere. I listed it at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/South Summit (Everest). -- Ricky81682 (talk) 05:31, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Ricky. I was only reverting whoever that was going on a 'vandalism' spree, I didn't really have an opinion regarding the article. But yeah, I guess it probably should be debated first. Cheers. Hillbillyholiday 05:51, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

United Airlines Flight 826

Hi, the above article was prodded and deprodded back in August 2015 - see this diff. Prod can only be used once, so if you think it does not meet the guidelines, I think your only option is to take it to WP:AFD. Regards, AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 10:58, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Heya, AtHomeIn神戸. I was only reverting an IP who was mass de-prodding articles. See AN/I report here. Hillbillyholiday 11:15, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
Well how about that, he managed to accidentally do one thing right amongst the vandalism. What's the saying about stopped clocks being correct twice a day? AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 11:30, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
Even a dead pig occasionally swallows an acorn..? Allegedly. Hillbillyholiday 11:53, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Please stop.
