Early life

Barron Trump's parents,
Donald & Melania Trump - 2006

Barron Trump's father is of Scottish and German descent, and his mother is Slovenian.

Barron's father suggested his first name, and his mother his middle name. As an infant, Barron reportedly occupied his own floor—complete with nursery, kitchen, living room and quarters for a nanny—on the 67th floor of the Trump Tower in Manhattan, but often slept in a crib in his parents' bedroom on next floor below.

Barron is said to like wearing a suit and tie matching his dad's outfits, and Melania's nickname for him is "Mini-Donald". He plays baseball and tennis, but prefers his dad's favorite sport of golf, and regularly attends the Trump Invitational Grand Prix at Mar-A-Lago.

In 2011, Melania told an interviewer that her son is equally fluent in English and Slovenian, thanks to his bilingual upbringing while also speaking French.

Father's presidential bid

On June 16, 2015, Barron appeared by his father's side, along with his siblings and his mother Melania, when Trump announced his candidacy for president of the United States in the 2016 elections at Trump Tower in New York City.
