John Amabile (prenounced Am-ab-illy) is a Scottish interior designer. He is best known in Scotland and the UK for his work on many TV shows.

Biography

Born in 1964, John grew up in the Ralston district of Paisley, Renfrewshire. He studied at the local schools before gaining a degree and moving to London, England. His design talent was spotted in set design for television and as a result, he progressed onto appearing in many ITV design shows, as well as a guest on chat shows. In 2002 the Scotsman Newspaper voted him the 10th most elegable batchelor in Scotland.

Television

He appeared several times on the ITV show Better Homes with Carol Vorderman, as well as becoming a design consultant on the morning show, GMTV. His appearances are now limited to the ITV show, 60-Minute Makeover, as he looks to build up his design business, Amabile Design Consultancy (ADC) with his partner, Carol Yates.

John Amabile is managed by Star Management.
