I did also add a new point, "Coding". It describes how AutoIt coding is done. I have been using it for more than one year, so basically it is what I felt may be useful to new coders in AutoIt. Obviously I will try to find any reference for it too but I don't think that it needs so. | I did also add a new point, "Coding". It describes how AutoIt coding is done. r Recent edit to Animal welfare in Nazi Germany
Information.svg Hello. I noticed that you recently made a contribution to the Animal welfare in Nazi Germany article that seemed to be a test. Your test worked! However, test edits on live articles disrupt Misplaced Pages and may confuse readers. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 12:16, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

thanks for edit summary
Thanks for noting that your edit was a interwiki article reference, and that the Corenbot found a "mirror" (a site that copies/mirrors wiki content). Continue this good practice. Always note when content comes from another wiki article: "content about X from article Y (see page Y for attribution)." --Lucas559 (talk) 23:20, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
- Its not that simple - I might have (re)written this content ages ago in boron nitride, and I've rewritten it further while splitting. Materialscientist (talk) 23:25, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
Help perhaps
I am having a back and forth revert thing with an editor who leaves no edit summaries and looks like could be a nut. https://en.wikipedia.org/Special:Contributions/50.200.87.202. The editor added an embellished and judgmental section to aldehyde, and I trimmed the addition to be more neutral with the citation but not the fluff. If you look at the edit summary I might be dealing with a persistent vandal. --Smokefoot (talk) 23:41, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi! A little while ago you blocked the above IP after adding a warning to his talk page. While that IP certainly has been disruptive, I wouldn't characterize his edits as vandalism. Your warning was for an edit on Fritz the Cat, a page he has never edited. What you do with this is certainly up to you, but it looks like their is at least some confusion involved. Not saying the IP doesn't need to be blocked, his content pov pushing and refusal to understand what the encyclopedia is about is quite annoying. It just has nothing to do with avant garde 70s films. John from Idegon (talk) 05:28, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. The Fritz the Cat warning accidentally got into my block template by bad copy/pasting. The block was not for vandalism, and I hesitated to issue it. Materialscientist (talk) 05:34, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

Hullo, I was just wondering why you blocked 45.26.44.116? I'm currently helping a user who claims to be this IP on #wikipedia-en-help and am wondering if this was a direct block or as a result of a rangeblock, cheers. Lor 07:52, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

About your page on latin education
Hi Materialscientist, Very recently I started to contribute. My daughter is studying latin, that's why we wondered about the eduction of latin in the world. I read the part "the successful language Interlingua considers itself a modernized and simplified version of the language. Latino sine Flexione is a language created from Latin with its inflections dropped, that laid claim to a sizable following in the early 20th century." and found it strange to read that Interlingua is named successful (without any reference or any comparison to other so-called artificial languages!). LsF may have had a sizable following, but back in the early 20th century, that is a long time ago. Making no mention of Esperanto in this section seems not serious to me and in fact also Ido is based on latin. In no case I want to attack latin or any latin based language, but I think Esperanto needs to be mentioned. It's way more successfull nowadays than Interlingua so it logically should be mentioned. Besides we have a lot more of latin translations based on dutch books. They could be mentioned but on an english page this might be not a good idea. Keep up the good work, kind greetings from Belgium Soestsm (talk) 19:09, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

Addition to snowboarding page
Hi
I made the addition to the page because I was one of the two people who first snowboarded Antarctica, in 1989. I have looked extensively for earlier references to snowboarding that continent and have found none. I was a scientist doing research at McMurdo Station (US) and the other person was staff at the Station. I am not sure what an appropriate citation would be for a first like this. I think "Firsts" are a good addition to that page anyway -- mountain descents and continental descents.

Thanks, dear. I’m sorry I hadn't noticed. I actually tried to insert some information about Genghis Khan’s death. Since his death is uncertain and remains a mystery, I tried to come to the point what would be the actual cause of his death. I read so many articles about Genghis Khan from history books. Pacific Black Duck
Dear Material Scientist, My intention in editing this article was not to cause offence. I do believe the picture in question is of a Pacific Black Duck/Mallard hybrid. I am a veterinarian who used to work at thr RSPCA, Burwood, Victoria, Australia. I feel certain that if you seek an opinion from the relivant departments of an Australian Museum or Univesrity, you will find I am correct. Yours sincerely, Dr Mark Boyhan. Markvet (talk) 12:13, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- The head shape, neck and tail carriage, colouration and posture in the water is completely different to every other duck in the article. The above characteristics are far more similar to the Mallard duck. This duck does, however, lack the curly tail feathers on top of the tail of the Mallard. If I have gone about this the wrong way I apologise, but I do need to know how to get these errors corrected. A couple of years ago, there was a picture of a Sika Deer stag in velvet in the Fallow Deer article, which I challenged at the time Markvet (talk) 12:48, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Why the reversion on cesium?
Hello, why did you revert my edits on the color of cesium? To me, "silvery-gold" is misleading, as it implies cesium is a sort of yellowish gray, when it is a more distinct color more accurately described by "golden." Dralwik| 22:19, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- This would contradict the infobox image (silvery) and File:CsCrystals.JPG (which is indeed silvery-gold). Materialscientist (talk) 22:20, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Then let's try getting a better infobox image, which does give a poor idea of cesium's color (note something like this). Could we use the crystalline picture for the infobox image? Dralwik| 22:22, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Try discussing this at WT:Elements, but better don't be bold with such issues in WP:FAs - this was almost certainly discussed before. As I recall, golden color might result from contamination (not sure in this case). Materialscientist (talk) 22:26, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Not for cesium; the external picture I posted is multiple nines purity. Rubidium and the other alkali metals are silver, but cesium is a bold yellow color in pure form. Dralwik| 22:30, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- You need multiple reliable sources to change that in the article. Materialscientist (talk) 22:32, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

- Thanks for the discussion. I'll admit, I'm rather disappointed that the gold color appears to be from trace interactions with oxygen and not an innate property of the metal, since I'm quite fond of informing students that only three metals are not some shade of gray in pure form. Dralwik| 23:03, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- Anyone familiar with optical spectra would understand how nearly any impurity could add a yellow tint to a white substance. Thus pure Cs may well be yellowish. Minor color distortions are hard to judge or avoid in photographs. All you need is support from reliable sources. Materialscientist (talk) 23:08, 17 November 2015 (UTC)

Shooting of Tamir Rice
Hi Materialscientist, I noticed that you have been one of the people reverting malicious edits to Shooting of Tamir Rice by IP addresses, and blocked one of those addresses temporarily. Thanks! However, it seems the block has now expired, and the IP that had been blocked went right back to the same sort of vandalism; I believe it's very likely that the other IP address used to make a similar edit during the block was controlled by the same human, i.e. block evasion. Which do you think is the better solution here — a longer block, possibly including the second address, or temporary semi-protection for the page? —GrammarFascist contribs 05:55, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Hypocritical editing by han/chinese user on East Turkestan Islamic Movement.
Hello MS good day to you. Please take a look at the page. User Rajmaan is always making unsubstantiated edits making it look like the ETIM freedom-fighters have been declared as terrorists even by countries and international agencies when they have not been in reality. The US had put them in the list of terrorist-organizations for a brief while before they removed the ETIM. More glaringly, he even lists the Central Asian countries including Afghanistan as "opponents" of ETIM when in reality it is a problem for purely the han/chinese. As to whether it is an occupied nation like Tibet and Inner-Mongolia or not is besides the point. But these articles being passed off as references have NOTHING to do with the ETIM. They do not in anyway convey that the ETIM is being opposed by the countries that are being claimed there. Please take a look at this. It has been used as a proof of Afghanistan being an "opponent" of the ETIM but the entire article saying naught of Uyghurs or East-Turkestan. Please do something. 117.194.231.8 (talk) 08:29, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Hellooooo did you read my message? 117.194.231.8 (talk) 09:27, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
@117.194.231.8 You were given warnings to desist from this kind of behavior as seen in your previous edits and personal attacks. This is the final straw.
You also don't pay attention to what you allegedly read. The article was used to source Hezbollah, not Afghanistan, as being an opponent of the Turkistan Islamic Party and it mentions both of them very clearly as on opposing sides.

I made an edit to the Frosted Flakes page this morning. There was a list of countries showing what the local name for the product was and I received the following Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I or someone else undid one or more of your recent contributions to Frosted Flakes because it did not appear constructive.
Seriously? The existing list shows the name of the cereal in Japan, Spain and a whole bunch of other countries in Asia and elsewhere but my adding China, HK & Macao to that list wasn't constructive? Ridiculous! Filthymutt (talk) 14:29, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Entropia Universe edit
Hi! I did an edit on the Entropia Universe page, not realising I needed a reference to a source - just using my personal knowledge. Total noob here at editing Misplaced Pages, guess I should read up some on the beginners guides. I can get a reference to any editing on EU, if a active partner of the original publisher will do?
I'l find it, i'm sure, but can I add an entry to the Misplaced Pages? Been asked by someone who want to be in here... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blueeditor1234 (talk • contribs) 19:56, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Barakar is now a neighborhood of Asansol and is under Asansol Municipal Corporation
There was no vandalism on the Barakar Page. Barakar is no more a census town. It used to be a census town when it was under Kulti Municipality but now that Municipality has been dissolved and the location is under Asansol Municipal Corporation. Barakar now is a neighborhood in Asansol. It is not a town or city, rather it is a ward or in hindi "mouja" of Asansol Municipal Corporation. Please check this pdf by Govt of Municipal Affairs - Govt of West Bengal India: http://www.bardhaman.gov.in/noticeboard/noti_amc_334_120615.pdf Hope this will clear your concern.

Coriolis force page change
Hi Materialscientist, I don't think I have to include sources for my change to the Coriolis force page, I just corrected a mistake. If an object at the Equator is heading westwards, the Coriolis force equation states that the force will be downwards, hence the object will feel heavier, and vice versa. Also, the explanation as it is now is self-contradictory as it says "upwards... heavier; downwards... lighter" which is in contrast with what is stated later after the three-Earths picture. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Enrymather (talk • contribs) 10:27, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom
Hello Materialscientist (talk), I have a question I wonder if you can help me with. I need your help on a newly created article. I have created a unified List of ambassadors that encompasses several other lists that I created too, like List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom. This is something that should have been done long time ago, in order to simplify and organize searches in Misplaced Pages. Now, in order to keep things nice and tight, and to comply with Misplaced Pages articles' naming, my list, starts with: "List of ambassadors.."; however, many articles that they link to, are "List of Ambassadors..". Of course, I can move one article at a time, but that would be quite a burden, and I could not figure out how to request a technical multiple-articles move. The way things are standing right now, I need your help (advice) on how to bulk move (rename) all the linked articles that the List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom and the List of ambassadors of Russia are pointing to, to correspond with the newly created lists. P.S: You can visit Talk:List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom for more info. Appreciate it! MarkYabloko 18:15, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

The general public uses Misplaced Pages as a final references against the tabloid. I can't use tabloid publishing as a citation, it is against my family's ethics. - @MaxRavenclaw: Don't assume that I am the same guy simply because I added added a viable source to what he wrote. I saw that his edit was sourced to some forum which is clearly not reliable, and searched for a reliable source to back it up. As for the other guy he doesn't deserve to be blocked simply because he made an edit that you disagree with. F-16 Viper (talk) 01:14, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- No, he deserves to be blocked because he refused to talk or explain why he kept undoing legal edits again and again and again. Besides, it was just a hunch. Could be all a coincidence, but it was a bit fishy that so many users just suddenly came out of nowhere and started defending that particular paragraph after the article was inactive for such a long time. But that's besides the point, User:Materialscientist, could you check out the history there, I'd like a second opinion. --MaxRavenclaw (talk) 12:11, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
RuuHaa, correction
Hi,
My correction on Euler Equations are to clarify that the "Maxwellian" refers to the Maxwell-Boltzmann (velocity) distribution for gases in equilibrium. Using this distribution as the solution to the Boltzmann equation, and taking moments with respects to the molecular velocity, one obtains a set of equations governing the conservation laws of gases, namely continuity equation, momentum equation, and energy equation, i.e., the Navier-Stokes equations, of which the Euler equations form a subset.
Sincerely, RuuHaa

ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Big Poppa E.
That was something where I just threw my hands up. The subject's original web page indicates a symbolic "death," in as much as he's retired his professional persona (which is something that got clarified for me through some fact-chasing). In the course of chasing sources, I came across an entirely new set of sites and pages for the subject under his birth name, indicating that he'd relocated and fully divested himself of his "Big Poppa E." persona. At the root of this research, however. was tracking him down through multiple sex offender registries, as he is, in fact, a registered sex offender, something that I certainly did not wish to include in any updates. Faced with the choice of letting out-of-date information stand or using problematic information as a cited source, I opted to discontinue any attempts at updating in the absence of acceptable secondary sourcing. If you have any suggestions about how to remedy the situation, I'm all ears. Absurdist1968 (talk) 06:34, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Edit: You never said anything about astrology, did you? Oops... Still, what are you referring to? The transgender sidebar?
Rather than posting my IP address, Im pasting your message to try reminding you who I am.

Change to the article National Defence Academy
Hey I had edited the article"National Defence Academy" and added some information in the section "Squadrons and Battalions". You have removed my changes citing lack of references and sources. Let me tell you that I've passed out from this Academy from the Golf Squadron. Please be assured that the information I've added is correct and true in all aspects. Recent block - a prolific sock
Your block was WP:ARARAT Ararat Arev, who's hitting numerous articles that several of us are now protecting. Thanks for catching this one. 12:05, 25 November 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doug Weller (talk • contribs)
Ahoy (Greeting)
Hallo, I received your message about the lack of refereces in the article Ahoy (greeting) Actually I am part of an university class that is translating the whole article Ahoy from German into English. So what I am writing is simply a translation of the German version, that is only published after proofread by an English native speaker professor. According to the professor's schedule, we will work on translating the references in a second moment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.70.25.85 (talk) 15:27, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Gary Barnett
Hi. My name is Zev Lewinson and I am the CEO of SwordPen Publishers. I wrote that little blurb about Gary's investment into my company. I reentered it and will cite my name in a moment from now. Thank you. SwordPenPublishers (talk) 17:59, 25 November 2015 (UTC) Zev Lewinson

Remove promo history
The talk page of IP you blocked, User talk:2.138.117.47 has promotional history. As far as I know advert history should be struck and removed. Can you please remove this biased history? --Mr. Guye (talk) 18:33, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi, not sure if this is related to Surname Downie entry. I am Evan Downie, the son of Ivor A. Downie. I added Ivor as a significant Downie as he had several successful companies. Downie Advertising, and The International Star Registry, being the most successful. He was responsible for starting the novelty gift of naming stars, and his original company had 100’s of thousands of sales. He passed away in 1989. I am in no way promoting any product, just trying to perpetuate his memory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evfast (talk • contribs) 22:46, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Edits seem to be mostly vandalism, deletions and number changes. - what do you think? Doug Weller (talk) 06:21, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- This happens often. I usually tag them with {{subst:uw-unsourcedX}} and {{subst:uw-deleteX}}, escalate warning level X, and eventually block, for a day, a week, or indef, depending on whether the changed/deleted information was referenced/neutral/vital/etc. Sometimes it is easy to see vandalism in number changes, but most often they have their own source and don't know how to cite it, or want to skew the data, or etc. Materialscientist (talk) 06:46, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
Your Good Faith edit is uncalled for, on 'S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research'
That is actually the list of alumni of SPJIMR, an edit by 'Anadi Chaturvedi'. Your edit interferes with bettering the page. It is neither vandalism nor is it obstruction of good faith. It accentuates information about college and gives a holistic view. You can check the data in public forum. The data has been carefully sifted to be posted on this page.
- None of the additions are notable individuals unless they have Misplaced Pages articles. Thank you. --‖ Ebyabe - Union of Opposites ‖ 08:36, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
AIV Sometimes slow
You're a great member. Really. However, I'd like to be able to support the Misplaced Pages community close to directly. No, I am not asking for adminship. Since you are nearly always online, when I find someone and I reported him to AIV, could I notify you by editing this section in your talk page? Regards, Dat GuyWiki (talk) 11:52, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- I might get offline any time during the day, so better post at AIV. Materialscientist (talk) 11:53, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- I realize that, and I mean that I will post at AIV and notify you if I am 100% sure you are online. Dat GuyWiki (talk) 11:56, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- Not needed - AIV is a high priority on my watchlist. If I'm online and don't get there then there is a good reason for that. Materialscientist (talk) 11:59, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you for your time. Dat GuyWiki (talk) 12:02, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

AutoIt changes rejected !!!
I edited a point in https://en.wikipedia.org/AutoIt. It is "Usage". It tells, in how many ways AutoIt can be used. Actually I have used it in few of my mentioned ways. If required I can provide the codes for them. They are just my experiences with AutoIt environment. I can only give a proof of it by submitting codes. I did also add a new point, "Coding". It describes how AutoIt coding is done. I have been using it for more than one year, so basically it is what I felt may be useful to new coders in AutoIt. Obviously I will try to find any reference for it too but I don't think that it needs so. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trahul 1995 (talk • contribs) 15:19, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
