Corrosion of Conformity is a metal band that opened for Metwatica several times and was on the Campaign for Musical Destruction tour as well. In actuality it is much more important and influential than this. Their first two albums were almost entirley hardcore punk. The album 'blind' represented a move towards metal, leading to a new genre of punk/metal crossover, their albums got considerably heavier, cumulating in America's Volume Dealer which includes such Metal classics as 'Congratulations song' and 'Clean my wounds' as well as a blusier track in 'Stare too long.' Their lyrics were mostly political, with a definate left-wing bias. Some of their greatest political tracks are 'vote with a bullet', 'Technocracy', 'Mine are the eyes of god' and 'Shake like you'.
