This was followed by a course in Radio Broadcasting & Photography course from Ravi Bharati, Patna and was the university topper in Communicative English with Media Studies from Patna University. Gitanjali continued her education in movie making and got trained from New York Film Academy, St. Martin's School of Art (London) and Whistling Woods International Institute (Mumbai)

Gitanjali anchored 15 episodes of IndraDhanush, a children's programme on Patna Doordarshan and 50 episodes of a game show Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahi in Enadu Television (ETV),Bihar, She was also a member of the script committee at the State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET), Bihar.
In 2012, Gitanjali's debut movie Yeh Khula Aasmaan was released starring Raghubir Yadav, Yashpal Sharma and new comers Raj Tandon & Anya Anand
