:Personally, I'd like the infobox image should stay. ''The X-Files'' title card is quite iconic and using the title card in the infobox is pretty standard for TV series articles. Same for the original opening credits image as it is discussed in the article. The removal of the season 9 one is fine as it's pretty redundant. ] (]) 20:10, 5 February 2016 (UTC) | :Personally, I'd like the infobox image should stay. Hi, I'm a student at College of DuPage, and for my English class, I was given the assignment of editing a page on Misplaced Pages. Early last week I added a segment discussing standalone episodes throughout the X-Files series, and yesterday found that it had been taken down. I feel that my edit retained at least some significance as it further explained the character development of the show. I would just like some insight as to where I went wrong, and what I can do to improve my edit. | |||

Omission in article - Opening sequence.
I am not experienced with Misplaced Pages, and as such I do not want to edit the article directly, but there is an omission in the article.
In s5, ep14 "The red and the black", the tagline at the end of the opening credits is "Resist or Serve" in place of the usual "The truth is out there" this is not mentioned on the section within "Opening sequence". Anyone with the box-set can verify this, and for reference, it is on disc 4 of series 5, and aired, I think, sometime around March of '98. If somebody experienced with editing would care to verify this, and amend the article accordingly, it would be appreciated. I do have a screen capture, but am not sure how to upload it, nor if it allowed because of copyright issues.
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.49.170.197 (talk) 15:37, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
- I will say that that list of alternate taglines is just a smattering of some examples, not an exhaustive list.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 16:58, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
Can we remove the bit in the header where it mentions Mulder & Scully's relationship?
It's a major spoiler presented without warning to people who may be reading about the show for the first time. Seems unwise. I'm going to remove it, if anyone has any good reasons why it should stay please say so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.123.199.91 (talk) 08:44, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- Misplaced Pages doesn't fear the spoiler.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 16:57, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
Storage
At the end of the first episode, we see a warehouse sized room under the Pentagon where the evidence of these unsolved and mysterious cases is kept.(83.37.123.24 (talk) 14:33, 9 November 2015 (UTC))

Commentary from cast and crew in the Hollywood Reporter
I wanted to see what people thought about including commentary about the show from a recent The Hollywood Reporter article? Chris Carter, Bob Greenblatt, Danielle Gelber,Gary Newman, Sandy Grushow, Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are all quoted in the article discussing the success of the series "on eve of a six-episode reunion series." Would it be worth adding some of their commentary onto to this page? Comatmebro User talk:Comatmebro 19:49, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
- I think it's probably a good idea. I'm not sure where it'd go. (maybe in the revival section?) Then again, I haven't read it.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 21:37, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
Non-free files
This article is currently making use of four non-free pieces of media, and to me it seems that only one of them (the sound file) can really stand up as meeting WP:NFCC. The intertitle used in the infobox is wholly redundant to the free File:The X-Files logo.svg, while the images pulled from the title sequences are not in any way discussed critically or used to identify the work (there is discussion of the title sequence of the show but it does not offer commentary on the character portrait shots which are currently being used). My take on this would be to cut the title sequence images out entirely, replace the infobox intertitle with the aforementioned free alternative, and leave the sound file as is; does anyone have any meaningful rebuttal to this approach? - That season nine sequence pic should go. Don't know when it got there. I'd be fine with the intertitle being phased out in favor of the free pic. Personally, I think the image of the title sequence is useful, but that's just me.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 01:52, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
