Ira Alan Tiffen, born December 24th 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, was the Vice President of Research and Development in Tiffen (1973-2004),

Early life

Ira Tiffen was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Nathan Tiffen and Helen (Rapchik) Tiffen. His father, Nathan Tiffen, was born February 19th, 1925, and his mother was born April 13th, 1929. He started his career at around 19 years old working at Tiffen on his vacation time, making filters in the lab. When he graduated college from New York University with a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering in 1973, he begun his full-time job at Tiffen laminating filter glass.

Later career

Ira Tiffen worked in various departments of Tiffen, mostly manufacturing departments, and eventually became the Vice President of Research and Development in the late 1980s.
