Village Culture

At the end of summer, after all the tourists have gone home, the locals hold one of the liveliest carnivals, if one of the smallest, in the UK. Publicans, shop keepers, chip van owners, hotelliers and the like breath collective sighs of relief and get together with local farmers and villagers of all ages. The carnival unites the village and serves to reinforce the social glue which holds tight this strong and proud community.

Youth Culture

Llansteffan beach is the spiritual home of the local teenagers. All-night BBQs, drinking and toking sessions around the bonfire attract people from neighbouring villages Llanybri, Llangynog, Llangain and even their lesser rivals Ferryside.
