You have recently recreated or reposted material which previously was deleted in accordance with Misplaced Pages's deletion policies. Please do not recreate this page without prior approval from an administrator or you may be blocked from editing. We ask that you respect what Misplaced Pages is not. If you disagree with the page's deletion, you may seek an independent deletion review. --Crossmr (talk) 01:25, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
I removed the website from the list because the article is previously deleted content. See . It was deleted because notability wasn't established. Please read WP:NOTE regarding how to establish it. Once its established you may wish to propose recreation at deletion review.--Crossmr (talk) 01:37, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- Alexa rank isn't enough to establish notability on the English wikipedia. The other article Odnoklassniki.ru was left because they have links showing significant coverage as required by the guidelines. To contest deletion, find some articles from reliable sources about the website and visit deletion review--Crossmr (talk) 02:17, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Speedy-tagging
I declined you speedy request at because I have no idea what the "Not actually" reason means, but it definitely does not seem to match any of the formal WP:CSD criteria. DMacks (talk) 17:35, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- See: Talk:Koashva, Talk:Oktyabrsky, Murmansk Oblast and Talk:Vysokiy. Why not to remove this empty talk page? --Insider (talk) 23:00, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- It does not clearly to my eye fit any CSD criteria. I don't dispute that they might be deletable, just letting you know your {{db}} tagging was poor. It's up to you to state why you think it should be deleted--not "hey admins, take a look at this, figure out what to do with it" but "this page fails this specific criterion"--to save the effort of others reinventing the wheel you already carved. Technically, if you use a standard speedy tag, the admin deletion tool automatically sets the log message too. DMacks (talk) 04:08, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Russian villages
Hi, Insider! Thanks for creating the articles about the rural localities in Murmansk Oblast. Just wanted to let you know that I'm working on a database (which at present is about 80% complete) which will allow to create (referenced) stubs like Valdost automatically, which means better consistency between articles and fewer mistakes. You might want to consider this if you are planning to create more stubs.
Also please be careful with the infobox parameters—in several instances I noticed that you've been using the "administrative district" field to hold the information about a town to which a rural locality is being administratively subordinated, and you sometimes do not distinguish between the administrative divisions (like the town of Kandalaksha) and the municipal ones (Kandalakshsky Municipal District). The infobox provides appropriate fields for all those occasions; please see the documentation of {{Infobox Russian inhabited locality}} for the full list. Another thing to watch is WP:RUS and the types of the inhabited localities. Many of those which you marked as "posyolok" are in fact not officially designated so; they are explicitly called "inhabited localities" (населённые пункты) in both the municipal laws of the oblast and in OKATO.
As you can imagine, this kind of stuff is not much fun to clean up later, especially on this scale, so if you could please please please be extra careful with this in the future, it would be greatly appreciated. Naturally, if you have any questions, I'll be happy to assist. Cheers,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); May 20, 2010; 18:55 (UTC)
--Insider (talk) 11:34, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Misplaced Pages:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:47, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
File:SalbykKurgan221201683.jpg
Dear Insider, please help me with the proper tagging. At the time of uploading, the file was properly tagged under the then Russian law. The law has changed twice since, but the status of the photo has not changed, it is in public domain. Some details:
photo was taken in 1880s, before the kurgan was excavated and dismantled;
photo was anonymous, a part of the excavation report;
photo was published in excavation reports, republished in Adrianov A.V., "Selections from field notes of kurgan excavations in Minusinsk territory", Minusinsk, 1902-1924, p.56
there were no copyright laws in Russia in 1880's nor in 1902-1924, it was in public domain from the first publication, and used in a number of later publications without copyright notices.
all created much later copyright time limits have long passed.
I am lost in what is a right tag that can't be questioned. Your help will be grately appreciated. This is one of the few outstanding kurgans that were leveled off and have a real photograph left. Barefact (talk) 03:40, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Tersko-Orlovsky Mayak
Sandy Island
I'm not convinced that Sandy Island (New Caledonia) should really be in the category "Islands of New Caledonia" - given that it doesn't actually exist. What do you think? --OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 10:42, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. ARA Libertad
Our policies on fringe material is quite clear, I have given you more than ample opportunity to find a reliable source that is not idle speculation on the Internet. This is getting to the point where my next step is WP:ANI. You can take that statement as my warning I will do so. WCMemail 08:18, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

Simply return the original version. It is correct and refers to designer of the banknote. --Insider (talk) 08:47, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kayta
Hello Insider,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kayta for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 15:38, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
