The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are smartphones designed by Apple Inc. The devices were announced on September 7, 2016, at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco by Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus serve as successors to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and are the current flagship devices of the iPhone series.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are jointly Apple's first non-S series of iPhones that provide a new design and new camera with larger sensors. With previous models iPhones have a new design such as "iPhone 6" with a new design, and "iPhone 6s" with a camera upgrade. This year is Apple first non-S model to upgraded the cameras with a redesign.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have a plethora of new features like Wide Color Gamut Displays, Apple's first quad-core CPU, front-firing stereo speakers, Splash and Water Resistance & longer battery life. As well as major camera upgrades like: Optical Image Stabilization in the smaller iPhone 7, f/1.8 Aperture Lens, Body and Face Detection and the new Dual-Lens iSight Camera exclusively found in the iPhone 7 Plus.
The iPhones 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available to pre-order Friday, September 9th, 2016. And available to the purchase a week later on September 16th, 2016.
