iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are smartphones designed by Apple Inc. The devices were announced on September 7, 2016. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7Plus jointly serve as successors to the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6 Plus.

The iPhone 7 features notable hardware upgrades over its predecessor, including a new quad-core system-on-chip with improved system and graphics performance, updated displays, water resistance, stereo speakers, a new dual-camera system. The 3.5 mm headphone jack was notably removed; the device ships with in-ear headphones that plug into the Lightning port, as well as a Lightning adapter for 3.5 mm headphones.
