He is famous or more aptly infamous for the 1963 Grey Cup late, out-of-bounds hit on B.C. Lions star Willie Fleming. The hit was considered by many to be a premeditated attempt to knock the Flemming out of the game. With Flemming out of the game, the Tiger-Cats went on to with the Grey Cup and Angelo Mosca's reputation as being the meanest professional football player was solidified. Angelo Mosca (b. March 13, 1938) was a Canadian Football League player between 1958 and 1972 with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, but outside of Canada he was better known for his professional wrestling career. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, he was known by various wrestling names, including "King Kong" and "The Might Hercules". Mosca has a son, Angelo Jr., who also wrestled.
Angelo played in 9 Grey Cups, more than any other player in CFL history, winning 5, all with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
