How did Konkani became native language and not kannada..konkani people migrated from goa at the mercy of kannada ruler shivappa nayak.

As Dakshina Kannada has been split into two districts, does it not make sense to separate out a Tulu Nadu article concerning both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts? QuartierLatin 1968 18:45, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism

I think this page should be protected for prevention of editing by unregistered users. A person is hell bent on puting hindi and degrading english & kannada. --Crazysoul 03:13, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Suratkal- Mangalore

Is it necessary to mention Suratkal as a separate town as it is part of Mangalore city now?

Article name

The article now contains the word 'district' which is superfluous. There is nothing to confuse it with, and it is not used in outside use, not even in the article. The name is not in accordance with WP:name and there is no convention that it be named thus. The fact that most districts are named after an urban area and hence have to be disambiguated by the postfix does not mean that it is a standard that has to be adhered to when not necessary. The article was moved from Dakshina Kannada without discussion. I am therefore moving it back. Imc (talk) 18:17, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Udupi - a part of Tulunadu

Udupi is very much a part of Tulunadu. I feel that this should be corrected. Kpbolumbu (talk) 05:50, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Tulu is a regional language of Dakshina Kannada district. It is not an official language of this district.

'Tulu Nadu' is not an official region of Karnataka

Tulu Nadu is not an officially recognized region of Karnataka. Dakshina Kannada is part of Coastal Karnataka (Kanara) region along with Udupi district and Uttara Kannada
