Specified Bank Notes (SBN) refers to the two Indian Bank notes denominations, 500 rupee and 1000 rupee, issued by Reserve Bank of India, were withdrawn from legal character after the Government of India, notification on 8 November 2016, under Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, Section 26.
