Invisiclues were clue/hint booklets that were a marketing adjunct that became available to help people get through some of challenging parts of Infocom text adventures.
The questions were printed in the book with an "empty" box below or following the text. The text in the box could only be made visible by using a special highlight-like marker pen that came with the book.
This marker pen contained a special solution that revealed the clue/hint. Over time, the "invisible" text would fade again.
