The JFR students are also very proud of their senior boys basketball team, the senior Ross Royals are known better in the area as the Ross Heatbags, a nickname popularized by the bench players of the team. | |||

John F. Ross C.V.I. is a public high school located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It is the only public high school in the region that offers ESL and French Immersion programs, drawing students from nearby towns like Rockwood. It is one of the largest schools in the area, with an estimated 1,500-2,000 students.
Opened in 1956, it celebrated its 50th anniversary with a reunion in May 2006.
