Revision as of 20:05, 24 September 2006
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Clig, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Misplaced Pages:What Misplaced Pages is not and Misplaced Pages:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Clig. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi again, Santorummm. I notice you still haven't responded to my query above about your username. I'm afraid it does violate our username policy and again request that you have it changed at Misplaced Pages:Changing username. I'd also like to ask you to take another look at our Manual of Style for disambiguation pages; some of the edits you've been making to Santorum (disambiguation) do not follow the MoS. Thanks! Powers 12:32, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- I reviewed the username policy. If you google for "Santorummm", the only thing that comes up is some wikipedia pages with my username on them, and a casual reference to the politician whose last name is "Santorum". Do us all a favor please and get a life bro. I am not changing my name unless forced to do so by an Administrator. Santorummm 23:10, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- So, by that reasoning, someone with the username "Cunnnnt" would be a-ok? Powers 00:42, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Strategy pattern
I've reinserted the deleted C# code and posted on the talk page, so please feel free to reply there. I'm just notifying you here in case it's not on your watchlist. Thanks. Supadawg (talk • contribs) 02:46, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
Deletion
MaVeN I didn't delete it. I tagged it for deletion because it met one of the criteria for speedy deletion: {{db-nonsense}}. -Justin (koavf)·T·C·M 18:00, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- That seems more like a relative opinion.. Santorummm 18:02, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- It isn't supposed to be a matter of opinion. {{db-nonsense}} is supposed to be only for "patent nonsense", which, judging from the deletion log, it wasn't. WP:CSD says "unsalvageably incoherent". Only the most obviously incoherent articles should be deleted as patent nonsense. According to the deletion log, the article began "*MaVeN:(AKA- The "Original" MaVeN) Known for releasing "The Finest Quality Telesyncs". Switched from using the SVCD ... " That's not incoherent, let alone unsalvageably so. An argument could be made for {{db-nocontext}} but it's iffy. I think you have a strong case for deletion review, Santorummm, though I'd probably wait until your sandbox version is done. I just get irked when {{db-nonsense}} is used incorrectly. Palo Alto High School billboard
Thought you should know that this photograph was taken in 2005. The digital billboard did not obviate it until 2006. Bahn Mi 16:22, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Your removal of {{fact}} tags from List of warez groups
Just thought I'd let you know, you should probably find a better reason than "was excessive" for removing {{fact}} tags. We here at Misplaced Pages require that all contributions are verifiable by reliable sources, and this article seriously needs citation. I've removed a lot of unsourced information from this article. — Werdna talk criticism 04:14, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- If an article has general problems with citing sources, then you should add a label at the top, not add a ton of tags or delete 3/4's of the article. Your behavior on this is uncalled for. Santorummm 18:51, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, its entirely in line with WP:V.
1. Articles should contain only material that has been published by reputable sources.
2. Editors adding new material to an article should cite a reputable source, or it may be challenged or removed by any editor.
3. The obligation to provide a reputable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it.
- The fact tags that were added were done as a courtesy to give someone a chance to fix it. That hasn't happened, so parts of the article that fail WP:V have been removed. If you want them back, please find sources for them. - Stephanie Daugherty (Triona) - Talk - Comment - 20:08, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- In almost all cases, I agree with you guys. Citing sources is most certainly important. However, given the rather closed nature of this subject (very few people who are "in the know" would tolerate being cited), it seems quite obvious that an exception to this policy is justfiable in this instance. Regardless, I am moving this discussion to the articles talk page, where it belongs. Santorummm 20:34, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
your recent edits
It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! hoopydink 02:54, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again! I don't think that it would benefit anyone if you were blocked, as you seem to be a good user. I suggest taking a step back for a second and look at what's getting you angry. An article has been suggested for deletion on a website; when you think about it in those terms, it's not a very big deal is it? It's just an AfD; Misplaced Pages is just a website. Cheers hoopydink 12:45, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

You shouldn't use {{protected}} for a page that isn't actually protected. I've changed it to a disclaimer derived from your edit summary. TimBentley (talk) 21:41, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
