Islamic calendar article
Did you get my ping? He seems to be making a habit of it. I know it's Grand National day but it seems to be National Shit on NeilN from a Great Height day as well - again. Honestly, I can't see that this punter is here to build an encyclopaedia. He trolled Jimbo's talk early on Thursday morning then climbed out of bed at two o'clock in the morning just to block me (for "block evasion") fourteen hours after my block expired. Rogue Angel in the big race seems to be the appropriate one to back. 31.52.139.32 (talk) 11:17, 8 April 2017 (UTC)
Hi again. You recently commented
It is one of my (self-appointed) roles on this project to detect miscommunications.
Islamic calendar has fallen victim to the POV - pushers but nobody can collaborate on improving it because it's protected. The person who did this quit after his agenda was exposed and if you could unprotect it would be much appreciated. A very happy Easter to you and your family - I'm sure you'll be glad of the break. 31.52.139.32 (talk) 12:16, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- (I've changed the thread header.) I just looked briefly at that article and I'm afraid I don't see what the issue is that you are raising. The editing looks to me to be routine, and there's been no activity on the talkpage for almost a year. Newyorkbrad (talk) 15:31, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- As a lawyer you know always to follow up lines of enquiry. The fact of the article having been protected for so long would have led you, as an Arbitrator of many years standing, to check the revision history immediately prior to the protection going into effect. This would have led you to this diff:
Please see ... discussion on the talk page (censored by NeilN) explaining how the RfC was rigged and administrators enforce their POV by protecting the article...
- The reasoning here is akin to that of Russia over Syria. Assad is head of a "lawful government", therefore the use of barrel bombs, chemical weapons and poison gas and other crimes committed against defenceless women and children are perfectly acceptable. 31.52.139.32 (talk) 11:10, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
I wouldn't follow the first suggestion. When NeilN blocks an editor it is permanently recorded in a public log, thus giving a tie - up with your new username. Also, when an editor has been given a new account and their old one has been blocked some administrators will block the new one as well, claiming that editing from one account while another is blocked is "block evasion". If this happens to you you will get a notice on your talk page saying "you have been blocked for evading a previous block". When this happens sometimes editors will file an unblock request asking for details of the block which is allegedly being evaded. No administrator has ever answered such an enquiry.
- The second suggestion is policy non - compliant. WP:VANISH applies to leaving Misplaced Pages forever (author's emphasis). The guidance you should be reading is WP:CLEANSTART. 86.147.208.124 (talk) 11:08, 31 March 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 15
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Eugene F. Pigott Jr., you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Erie County (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deletion
I am concerned by this comment of yours. When I find a questionable article I take a look at the notability criteria, check per WP:BEFORE, and then I often nominate it for deletion. If I see some stub about a head-of-state, Olympian, or Nobel Prize winner I leave it alone because I know the notability criteria. I know anyone that played a single game in even some overseas semi-professional league is probably notable because that's what WP:NSPORT says. WP:TVSHOW doesn't say that this episode (or any episode of any show, ever) is inherently notable. I'm not making these nominations to make people angry or because IDONTLIKEIT. For you of all people to claim that every episode of that show is notable is nonsense. I've lost a lot of respect for you because of it. Don't bother replying. You're wrong and the damage you've done is irreparable. Chris Troutman (talk) 23:01, 26 April 2017 (UTC)
