The current mayor of Brandon is Dave Burgess. One important issue in Brandon is the use of the now unused Brandon Mental Health Center. One suggestion was to move the ACC, which requires more space, into the picturesque building, but that option was deemed too expensive. |

Brandon is currently a growing city and there are several issues regarding its growth. As the city is owned and run by people who dislike change, it is unfortunetly difficult for new things to come. As time goes by, it seems as the old generation of conformists is wearing out and economic and political change can finaly come to the city. |
