About the company

EKWB was founded in 1999 by Edvard König, who wanted better thermal and acoustic performance for his personal computer. Since then the company has released new versions of their products, resulting in a 40% cooling performance increase from 2006 to 2011. As of 2011 EKWB is one of the three largest PC water cooling companies. EKWB gets involved with the overclocking community through forums to better understand the needs of its customers.

Products

EKWB specializes in high end cooling supplies. Its product line includes: Supremacy CPU water blocks, CoolStream radiators, Vardar computer fans, Predator AIO (All-in-one) liquid cooling sets and several accessories.

Supremacy EVO CPU water blocks

The block can be plated with materials such as copper, nickel, acetal, and even gold. Likewise, covers are manufactured with acetal, nickel or plexi. The Supremacy EVO series is capable of top tier performance for water cooling, achieving a 32 °C improvement over the stock intel cooler with an Intel i7 4770k at stock speeds, a Cool Stream PE 240mm radiator, 2 Helix-120-BW-PWM ans, and no reservoir.

CoolStream Radiators

The CoolStream radiators are manufactured using copper fins in an aluminum housing along with brass chambers and copper tubing. The 240mm model stands out for having the best performance in its category, with an average power dissipation that is 9.6% per 10 °C better than the closest competitor. Some customers report receiving bent units.

Vardar Fans

The company includes these fans with their kits and AIO solutions. The fans are optimized for high static pressure instead of airflow, which makes them suitable for radiators. The 120mm variant offers quiet operation and high airflow, with 32 dBA noise generation and 120 FPM of linear airflow, running at 1000RPM after a MCR120QP radiator. However, the pricing is very high when compared to almost all of its competitors. Additionally, the accessories included and packaging are below average.

EK-Predator AIO (All-in-one) kits

These kits are put together using readily available products from the company itself. The AIO consists of Supremacy water blocks, Vardar fans, Coolstream radiators, and DDC water pumps. Because of the inclusion of high end components, these kits offer a 35.1 °C improvement over the stock Intel cooler on an i7 4770k at stock speed, while also costing significantly more than any other competitor.

Shortly after the release of these kits, there were reports of leakages occurring in the water block version R1.0. This prompted the company to release a new revision of the kit
